Help in a crisisPosted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: Position; size of room; support.
Cons: Breakfast was very expensive - typical for Brussels but far too costly. We did not have it.
The hotel was well situated for the meeting that I had to attend; the room was comfortable. Minor faults were rapidly dealt with though the warm in the shower was a little too lukewarm. My wife lost her passport shortly after arrival and the staff were a great help; one in particular went out of her way to help and advise - this was needed as the Embassy were of little help. Only through badgering did we get an emergency passport; the people who handled it there were good, but the system was obstructive with wrong information. Therefore having local assistance was an immense help and comfort in a stressful situation.

Perfect for visits to the EU quarterPosted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Perfect for a flying visit to Brussels
Cons: Carpet was a little stained, shower head a bit broken, minibar/coffee not restocked.
Location: Perfect for quick trips to the EU
Room was great for the price, very convenient to get to from the airport, I arrived late so ordered room service which was quick and the choice was almost the same as the restaurant. Cost for a meal 15 Euros which seamed OK. Very quiet room at back of hotel overlooking pretty gardens. Lovely big comfortable bed. Didn't have time for breakfast but the choice looked lovely. Quick check out!

Great LocationPosted Aug 19, 2014
Very convenient for the metro. Nice hotel, a bit scruffy in places, but excellent staff and a very warm welcome. The food at the hotel was expensive, but as with any hotel, has a captive audience. However, there are great bars and restaurants nearby and a supermarket by the hop on hop off bus stop all within a short walk. The sushi bar over the road sells a delicious take away tirimisu, and is a great place to get soft drinks and beer to take back to the room and avoid the hotel prices. I would definitely stay again and would recommend it.

Good value for moneyPosted Jul 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel offers good value for money in terms of the comfort of the bed, and the breakfast. The room needs a bit of attention to stains etc on carpets

Aspires to be a quality hotel, falls shortPosted Jun 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel is located in a good spot for Brussels business travelers. The lobby is clean and elegant. The room was clean, but small for the price, even by European standards. One of my experiences involved an apparently new staffer who was trying to be helpful on a matter, and was chastised in French by a superior for doing so. Note to management: you might train your staff to assume that your guests understand what staff saying about them, no matter what language they are speaking in.

Great hotel for business at the ECPosted Jun 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel is in a terrific location if you are doing business at the EC. Convenient to metro. Plenty of taxis just outside. In walking distance are two beautiful parks and the military museum. A $10 euro taxi ride to Grand Place and around $45 euros to the airport. The hotel rooms are a bit dated but very comfortable. Hotel staff are excellent. Breakfast is $20 euros and while expansive, it's not worth it to me. Biggest problem is that rooms are super dark b/c of dark wood paneling on the walls and dark carpet. There is simply no reflective light despite plenty of lights in the room. Even bathroom, for some reason is dark (and there the walls are all white). Must be the lighting. Toiletries are sub-par but I bring my own.

No issues, and the hotel was ideally placed. Quiet too, no traffic noise in my room.
