“Stanhope Stau”

Great hotel in a good location! Our only warning would be regarding the rooms in the main building that have 2 levels - the bedroom is on the second level while the bathroom is on the first with very steep stairs to navigate! Rooms in the Ambassador building were on one floor and preferable.

“Beautiful hotel but area a bit lacking”

This hotel is really nice. My single room was a kind of sofa bed but it was incredibly comfortable. Nice fixtures, linens & robe and quiet. Hotel restaurant is pretty pricey and as it is close to the EU there isn't a lot else around in the evenings. Very close to transportation though so worth staying at if you can get a good rate. Grocery store about a block away was convenient too.

“Worth additional visits”

Great hotel and parking is free on the weekends on the streets in this financial district. Our room could have used some touch-ups (peeling wallpaper and cracked walls) but otherwise great. Quiet at night also.

“Great Hotel In Brussels”

One of the best rooms I've stayed in Europe. Very well upkept and service is very friendly. The only concern is with the location. It's about 200 yards from the nearest restaurant or store.

“Charm and elegance”

The hotel is very clean and elegant. Staff are helpful and polite. Had a lovely room, spacious and comfortable. The hotel has everything you could need from shoe polisher to umbrellas to borrow.

“I'll go back and stay longer!”

This place is wonderful - the rooms, the library bar, the courtyard, the restaurant, the service, the location - close to businesses and many "sights". This was a true "find"; I'll definitely book this for my next trip.

“Elegance, Comfort, and Service”

This hotel is excellent in every aspect (although I did not sample the restaurant). All of the staff are friendly, accommodating, and efficient. The common areas are elegant. The room was extemely well appointed and comfortable. I strongly recommend the hotel, as long as price is not an object.

“What A Find”

I have stayed in over a dozen different hotels in Brussels and by far the Stanhope has been one of my favorite. If you prefer Old World charm to institutional chains you'll really appreciate the Stanhope. Well maintained, great staff, 10 minute walk to the antique district, 15 minute walk to La Grande Place and great metro access.
