Quirky but funPosted May 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
The strangest thing about this hotel is that there is no reception. This wasn't explained on the booking information but luckily I had a mobile phone so could call the hote (Hotels.com, please sort this out, not everybody has mobiles that work on a European network). Once inside all is good. Nice clean rooms, decent size and no reception staff to bother you. I am not sure if I was a lone female I would be confident staying here, the door system feels a bit vulnerable. However, overall, a nice place to say and nearby Place Du Sablon is one of the nicest parts of an unimpressive city.

AGood B&B that is Well LocatedPosted Jan 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
While we were at the Villa Sablon the propr1etress was absent having a baby. In her place was a very nice and helpful gentleman who took care of us very well. The B&B is located at the Grand Sablon which for us was perfect since the majority of Brussel's many African art dealers are located in that area. Breakfast is not served in the B&B, but you are given a card that gets you a very nice breakfast at a renowned bakery-restaurant close by. Ours was a suite with a small sitting room to go with the large bath area and adequate bed area. There were many fine restaurants in the immediate area. A large parking garage was two blocks away, and parking was available even closer if you didn't mind feeding the meter starting a 8AM. On the whole, it was an enjoyable four days and I would recommend the Villa Sablon.. .

Exceptional eclecticismPosted Nov 24, 2012 on Hotels.com
This is a very, very nice place close to all the action. A three minute stroll to Place Royale (with three excellent museums and the Royal Palace) and downhill to the Grand Place. But why leave the Sablon with all its chocolatiers? Excellent, rather flash but very comfy room. My only concern was the limited opening hours of the 'reception' but through efficient and hands-on email exchange any possible issues were resolved/prevented.
