Convenient hotel

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Convenient to entrance to bryce national park. Had indoor swimming pool.
Overall was good, we overlooked the small lake. Good for watching the sunset, room had all you need eg fridge, microwave, aircon and good strong shower pressure. Dinner was okay. Dont know about breakfast as we had it at Bryce Lodge. Lots of parking, laundry and general store all on location. Easy drive to Bryce Canyon entrance.

Great Hotel close to Bryce Canyon

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Great location and great amenities including restaurant, lodge, shop and gas. Staff very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a room (well laid out with everything we needed for 2 adults and 2 kids) but noticed they had areas for camping in teepees as well as log cabins and RV hook-ups. We only stayed one night but will use this hotel again in a future visit to this area.

Conveniently located for visiting Bryce Canyon

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: Location, location, location and close to lots of services
Location: Right near Bryce Canyon Entrance.
The hotel was clean and conveniently located to Bryce. The western "experience" was a bit kitschy for my taste, but the service was good and and the rooms were comfortable and clean.

Dumpy hotel but only one of 2 close to Bryce

Posted Aug 26, 2014
We stayed 2 nights at this motel-style "inn" while at Bryce. Our room faced a swamp. Hotel was old and dated and bathroom ceiling was moldy and looked like it was about to cave in.

OK Hotel

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: A place to rest and eat after a long drive.
Cons: Traffic control and ground lighting.
Location: Bryce canyon national park
This hotel is ok especially after a long drive. It's a large facillity with several buildings spread out. There is no traffic control on the hotel grounds and I almost got into an accident because drivers are going in any direction to get to and from their rooms. The lighting on the grounds can also be better.

Lakeview Room!

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Everyone working there shared their knowledge on what to see in the Park. Very friendly staff and they were all very helpful.
Location: Located right before the entrance to Bryce National Park.
Our room was very comfortable and had a wonderful view of the lake. The Bryce National Park Shuttle stops at this hotel so it is very convenient for exploring the Park. The Restaurant menu was varied and the food was good. This is a good place to stay whether you have a family or by yourself.

"Take it or leave it" attitude is disappointing

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Hotel manager was shockingly arrogant. When politely asked for a room on 2nd floor (not on street level), the manager Scott told me that he is sold out. Would have been ok if it stopped there - he went on to say, "At this point, you can take the room or check out" - really!? When asked how I could have indicated my preference when their website did not gimme the option, he said, "Am I supposed to read your mind?". Clearly the hotel was getting too much business and the manager made it known that he did not care. The restaurant in the hotel is mediocre. The quality of food in the buffet is poor even though the price is quite high. Go for the other items on the menu or the diner next door. Overall Best Western Plus Ruby's Inn was a very disappointing experience.
