“so nice”
so comfortble
“Fairly average.”
Read the reviews before booking. Couldn't get into the well reviewed hotels at last minute, and were happy enough just to have a clean bed for the night. Shower was unusable. Either scalding hot or icy cold. Couldn't even get water in the in between settings. Nothing exceptionally bad, just very average. The 'Soup and Pie' diner, a couple of miles or west of this resort was great.
“Never again”
Poor maintenance of room, bathroom. No WiFi in room, only lobby. Location good, but that's all.
“Nice room with minor maintenance problems”
My room was nicely decorated but had 3 minor maintenance problems: the tub faucet dripped continuously, the hairdryer didn't work, and the door security chain was broken.
“What a dissapointment”
Where to begin? Room was dirty. Furniture is old. Checking for bed bugs (luckily there weren't any) we found that the box springs had holes in them. Paint was fading. And during the course of the evening we swatted and killed over a dozen flies. Yes, the location is great. That's the only good thing to say. I found it a bit pricey when I booked it, but now realize I would have been disappointed even if I had only paid 19 bucks. My advice - look for another place!
“Bryce Canyon”
Not quite what we expected. The cabin was functional and well equipped if a litlle tired. It was more of a 'motel' rather than the Bryce Canyon Resort as it's name suggested. The staff were helpful. The attached 'diner' produced extremely good food but the choice was limited. Beer was on offer but no wine or spirits. Still, we were not too disappointed with our choice.
“Adequate”
My suggestion to this Motel is "act like you want the people to come back" ...... " offer a percentage off if one goes to YOUR restraunt "............ and WORK on your pool ammenity, it really looks bad. One other suggestion is that your restraunt needs a few pictures in the dining area. This is an area with some beauty..................intice people to want to look around.
“Bad”
Employees at the reception were haughty and unfriendly. We did not get a room in the hotel, but a small cabin in the parking lot. Terrible.
“Overpriced”
This 'resort' was a complete disappointment. The complex is run-down, rooms dark and small & no amenities. The only good thing is the proximity to Bryce Canyon. Our room was not very clean (hair on the floor in the bathroom and tub). Next door they rent ATV's and it seems that the warm-up track is in the Hotel parking lot (real peaceful). This place would be fine for a $/night motel but for $$$/night for 4 people in a room is robbery (can't post prices). Because of this 'resort' we cut our trip short in Bryce and instead stayed at the Hilton in St. George near Zion at half the price. I've heard that they recently remodeled some rooms, when we asked for an 'upgrade', the clerk said all the rooms are pretty much the same. As for the free wi-fi, it is only available in the 'lobby' which is not much larger than a phone booth. I don't usually write reviews but I couldn't let this one pass.
“Hotel's website lies”
The Bryce Canyon website (as of July 2011) claimed that every room had wi-fi. When we could not get wifi in the room, we went to the front desk to ask. They said there was wifi in the lobby and restaurant only. When asked about the website, they said "... the website has many problems and does not accurately reflect aspects of the hotel." Bottom-line - don't trust the website. It claims things that don't exist. The other major complaint - the AC is noisy. If you want it to cool, it will cycle loudly on and off, making it hard to sleep. If you want the fan to always be on, the unit won't heat or cool. Location of the hotel is good, very close to the park.
