“price good but you get what you pay for”
we picked bv lodge for the price and proximity to the park. the office is small and the staff there pretty jaded after a long tourist season. reminded me of the "no soup for you!" skit on They can't wait to check the last person in so they can close up for the evening. That's right, there was nobody on premises until the next morning. If you arrive after a certain time you have to go to another hotel (rubys bw)nearby and get keys there...otherwise, room was clean and bed good enough to sleep on. forget breakfast. the ice machine worked well enough to fill our cooler. a/c and heater worked. there's a restaurant (ruby's inn) across the street--with buffets for bus loads that arrive regularly. the food quality there was marginal at best and very very overpriced. and there's really no place else to go. we recommend this hotel only for the price and location.
“Good place near entrance of park”
Across from Ruby Inn, within 1 mile of park entrance. TV stations good selection. Bathroom clean and efficient.
“Room was smelling and entire carpet was wet.”
Location is great, Whole Rubys inn comples is not very nice or friendly. Room was smelling and entire carpet was wet.
“average”
The wi-fi was not working, and when brought to the attention of hotel management their response was, "Go across the street." The vanity should be more secluded from the rest of the room.
“HEATING PROBLEM”
During our second night, the heating system went down at 10 pm. We called the front desk but the person in charge was unable to fix the heater. We were offered to change room, but our kids were already asleep and it was too late to move. The hotel had no light heater to provide and we were not offered any compensation.
“convenient location, great price from expedia”
the hotel was what I expected. The only issue was the bath room tub seems clogged, water was taking forever to clear. But we stayed there only for 12 or 13 hours, so it was OK. Choices for eating are almost non existent, especially if you are a vegetarian. it is hard to find even a decent Pizza. We eventually drove 8 miles to the next town, where there is a decent Pizza place.
“Motel at Bryce Canyon National Park”
I stayed at Bryce View Lodge three or four years ago. At that time, the room had a small refrigerator and a microwave. This time, nothing except a TV.
“good value...great location!”
The hotel was extremely convenient for the incredible Bryce Canyon just down the road, and opposite Ruby's Inn for groceries, souvenirs, and restaurants - nb. only one open in late October but fine for breakfasts and dinner. My room was very warm and cosy, which was fabulous as I was there in the Fall with 17degF temperatures and freak early snow ! There was however, a howling draught around the door, which I suppose in summer would be quite useful. The fridge and microwave were an added bonus in the room, beds nicely made up and very comfortable. Bathroom clean with great shower.
“Quality is uneven”
I booked two rooms for my family and my friends. There was nothing wrong with my friends' room. But our room was lack of a microwave and a refrigerator, and the bath tub didn't drain. The quality of this hotel is uneven.
“The lodge and the interior of the rooms are old and the carpet was extremely dirty. Service was bad.”
The carpet in the room was extremely dirty and the interior was old and dusty. I would not recommend the lodge to anybody. Moreover the rate for the lodge / room is a far too high price for what you get. I will never stay there again.
