Adequate overnight stop near Bryce Canyon NPPosted Sep 22, 2013
Pros: Convenient location near Bryce Canyon.
Cons: Vegetarian options in the restaurant (salad is a side, not a vegetarian entrée).
Location: Small country town of Panguitch is 7 miles away (more food options and a supermarket), close to Red Canyon and only 20min drive to Bryce Canyon.
Needed affordable accommodation near Bryce Canyon and Harold's Place fit the bill. It was comfortable and good value. We stayed in a cabin and found it adequate for our needs. The restaurant onsite does NOT have any vegetarian options (best we got was vego pizza in Panguitch - 7 miles away). Also despite listing free wifi as an amenity, it should be noted that there is no wifi in the rooms, only in the motel lobby. Bryce Canyon is a 20min drive away through Red Canyon, and despite nice views of distant canyons from the highway, you don't get any views from the cabins.
