Well located, great quality hotelPosted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: The breakfast buffet was of an exceptional quality with plenty of choice. Lovely greeting by staff upon arrival at the breakfast room each morning.
Cons: I don't mind paying extra for drinks in hotel bars and minibars but the prices in this hotel seemed to be over the top.
Location: The hotel is right by the Atheneum and Revolution Square. Keep walking down Calea Victorie for ~1km and then head left to reach the bars of Lipscani.
We stayed here as a family for 3 nights. The hotel was our base for exploring Bucharest and (on a day trip) Peles and Bran castles. The comfortable beds and quiet rooms were welcome when we first arrived (at 1am after a delayed flight) and after a grueling, but fantastic, 13 hour tourist trip to Transylvania. Staff on the desk were very helpful, dealing with our questions concerning directions, places to visit etc. very courteously and enthusiastically. Only ate breakfast at the hotel but quality was excellent.

Historical hotelPosted Oct 7, 2013
Nice hotel in a historical building +clean, classical luxury, historical building, good gym, central -parking pay 57 RON (15 usd) , they ask me to pay the internet (20 usd/day) although they advertise free internet on Expedia, finally they agree and I got free internet breakfast in bed too expensive + a hidden fee, At the spa they ask a high price for a facial and when I asked for the price list they could not find it. I ask at the reception for the spa services price list and they told me they don't have such a thing. -

Beautiful hotel in the heart of BucharestPosted Sep 17, 2013
Pros: The location and the history of the hotel.
Cons: We had a few problems using Wi-Fi in our room, but might have been just our device's technical problems.
Location: Everything nearby: wonderful shopping, great restaurants and markets and amazing history to see.
Amazing and helpful staff. Clean and modern room. Nearby to amazing shopping and historical sites in Bucharest. Recommend this hotel highly.

Good Hotel, perfect location, one of the best in Bucharest. Definitely a 'safe-haven" after a long day sigh-seeing. Close to the old city (7min walk) and big rooms, good restaurant. Nothing to complain about really.

Great hotel in great locationPosted Aug 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
We travel to Bucharest almost every year to visit family and think that the Hilton is one of the best hotels. Great proximity to Lipscani for evenings out and in a historic building. The only hotel that beats the location of the Hilton is the Intercontinental, but the rooms are more updated at the Hilton. Rooms are large, recently updated and very comfortable. We also travelled with an infant this time and they were quick to bring a pack and play, a milk warmer and offered to bring a baby bathtub if needed. Only issue this time was that the bathtub was quite a bit worn and really should be updated.

Bucharest, summer 2013Posted Aug 8, 2013
Hotel Athene Palace, centrally located, is still an elegant hotel, however the new additions are not harmonizing well with he hotel ambiance. Hotel staff is helpful and accommodating. Rooms are clean and conformable and a sizable swimming pool. Two things I was not happy with: Internet cost, 52ron/day plus 25ron tax, outrageously expensive Breakfast buffet was not to par for a facility of this class. I do recommend this hotel.
