Ideal place to stay in Bucharest !

Posted Aug 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
Everything was neat and crispy. Near university, it's the best place to be. Don't expect a luxury hotel, though. It's an apartment like a condo and very secure. On top of all, it is extremely quiet, even if you are at a corner of the action. There is also an interior parking (8$ a day) if you're driving.

Directly in the heart of the city of Bucharest.

Since I speak the language and my wife is Romanian, we felt at home. The culture is changing, More and more services for tourists are in english. Though, prices are sometimes higher than in USA and Canada depending on which goods you buy. Don't listen to people freaking out with potentiel dangers. Security is high and there is a lot of surveilance everywhere. Driving is perfect for an experience driver and if you understand romanian language, to read informations and signs on the road. Gas is 2$ a liter. It means double price we pay in USA. Finally, gipsies don't bother you. All that said, be always carefull. Don't go with strangers you just met and don't walk around at 2 o'clock in the morning. This applies to Canada and USA too, no? I would say everywhere on the planet... A beautiful place to stay. Wages for the local did not follow the upgrading prices (european union) and the minimum salary is 300$ a month!!!

Very centrally located

I enjoyed my stay here. The pros: I was upgraded to a two room apt. I was very spacious, had a washer, a full kitchen, bedroom, living room with couch, 2 chairs, tv, a table with 3 chairs, and a small balcony. The location is great, right across from the Intercontinental Hotel and the Universitate Metro. There is a grocery store a short 5-7 minute walk away. The cons: There was no hot water. Period. Only luke warm at best. The front door was often unlocked during the day (although it did not feel an unsafe building, mostly housewives and Romanian families), the lobby had no light except for the light from around the corner in the entry way and the 2nd floor. Other: It is just off a side street next to club that is NOT loud at night. I am guessing it is a gentleman's club. I would not recommend it unless you enjoy cold showers. If that is not a concern, this is a GREAT place to stay.

excellent location

this condo is located in the very heart of Bucharest close to all the places worth visiting, theatres, shopping. Transportation nearby can take you anywhere. There is no 'cleaning lady' on a daily basis. Kitchen might miss a few things, just add them yourself. Not a luxury accomodation but the price is right.

Very Nice apartmentes

Posted Apr 28, 2011 on Hotels.com
Very nice apartments, well equiped and confortables. The only thing it wasn't very well considered is that all the arrangementes y mail where in english and the person who was waiting for me on speaks Rumanian; and I had to pay in cash, it was the only option and that was not informed to me. But, besides that, the appartments are great.
