Nice hotel in center of Bucharest

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Excellent hotel in the center of Bucharest-close to subway, public transportation, walking distance to major sites. Excellent staff, breakfast, room condition, amenities-in one word everything. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, but still close to everything you would need.

If you're in Bucharest for business or pleasure, there's no better way to stay than at this hotel, be it for a day, or for 2 weeks. Clean rooms, all modern amenities, excellent personnel, good food. You can't go wrong.

#1 Hotel in Bucharest

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: Everything!! A perfect experience.
Cons: Nothing. Couldn't be improved!!
Location: Close to a metro stop, good access to the whole city. It is wiithin walking distance to the Athenaeum and Old Town. Easy drive from airport.
Hotel Christina couldn't be greater!! The Breakfast buffet is everything one could ask for- delicious, large variety and healthful. We loved the coffee too. The service is superb from start to finish. Christina's owner is a friend to all his guests. The decor is extremely unique, modern, pleasant and fun. They welcome each guest with a glass of local wine and generous cheese tray. The price is very reasonable. Orchids and other plants add to its loveliness. We will always choose to stay at Hotel Christina!!

Pros: The staff and the nice ambiance!
Cons: The quality of the bed and the noise!
Location: Drinks and visiting
The hotel is very pleasant and the staff really nice. In particular, the staff takes care of all our wishes for free. The wine and cheese welcome drink is a plus!

Horrible Experience; Terrible Management

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: Nothing. I would sooner sleep in the street than stay here again.
Cons: The list is too long but start with management taking responsibility for their hotel and the bare minimum comfort of their guests.
We arrived at the hotel exhausted. All we wanted was dinner and a good night's sleep before our flight the next morning. We booked this hotel because it promised air conditioning. No one offered to help us with our heavy luggage. After getting into the room, we found the window open and the A/C turned off. It was a sauna. We shut the window and turned on the A/C.When we got back from eating, the room was as hot and the A/C was shut off. All we wanted was sleep. I called down and the desk person showed up, fiddled with the A/C remote and turned the unit on. We got into bed to sleep. 15 minutes later, the A/C shut off. I call down again, the guy came to fiddle with the remote again, leaves. The A/C shuts off again. This happens over and over, until we realize this guy has no idea what he's doing. They have no other room, no repair person, not even a fan to help us. We demand to speak with a manager the next morning. We get no sleep. In the morning, no manager came to our room. At the front desk, still sweating, we asked to speak with a manager. As we start to describe our problem, she interrupts us to say, "I know." Really? So I guess her plan was not to bring it up unless we did? When we relayed our bad experience, she LITERALLY SHRUGS HER SHOULDERS and says "the A/C was working before. Sorry." That's it. No acknowledgement of their failure, of our negative experience, or our justifiable anger. No offer of compensation for a terrible night in her hotel. Just a blank stare.

Small City Centre Hotel

Posted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: The quality and choice of the food particularly at breakfast was excellent . The rooms are very modern with quality fittings.
Location: The hotel is situated in a small side street and therefore quieter than many of the larger city centre hotels but accessible to the city.
The hotel arranged a pick-up from the airport, facilitated any arrangements we wanted to make e.g.booked tickets for a concert, assisted with train tickets for an onward journey and generally made our visit hassle free. The staff had a very good knowledge of english and were most obliging. Although not in the city centre access was easy both on foot or the very frequent and very cheap taxis.

Great Hotel right on La Rambla

Posted Jun 13, 2014
Pros: Location.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Arc La Rambla. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was great and we were right in the heart of everything. Metro was 100 metres away. Main advice is to be wary of restaurants along La Rambla. We didn't get caught however, numerous other people did. Cheap meal offers but, the sting was in the drinks. often 10 euro for a beer and the same for a coke. A number of restaurants do not supply drink proces with the menu. Lose yourself in the numerous alleys and you will find excellent food, drinks and sights. Barcelona is a truly marvelous city,

Trendy hotel, very helpful staff and good position

Posted Jun 12, 2014
Pros: The colour-changing shower head, electric window curtains, proper pod coffee maker in room.
There is nothing I can fault with this hotel, after travelling for a few weeks in Romania it was the best breakfast by far with a very good cappuccino. Very trendy room, extremely clean and everything worked. The staff was helpful and friendly. Take care if getting there by taxi because they may not know the location, but once you're there you'll realise how close it is to the metro and buses.
