Great location, nice and quiet renovated hotel

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Pros: Location, staff, room, amenities
Cons: Perfect the way it is.
Location: Old town is 10 minutes walk, Cismigiu Park is a 2 min walk, loads of restaurants and shops around.
This hotel is absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious, newly renovated and offer both heat and AC that works well. Room we had was an apartment with separate sitting/dining area and bedroom. Hotel is very quiet and provides for a great night's sleep. Room amenities were fantastic. The staff at this hotel is absolutely amazing, accommodating us with special requests and always helping us with questions and transportation options. I don't know if there is any other boutique hotels in the city that provide the service and quality that Cismigiu does. You are close to old town, parks and in a very lively and safe neighborhood.

A jewel in the rocks

Bucharest isn't the prettiest of cities but this hotel was a gem. Very clean and modern and the staff was uper helpful. There are two pharmacies within 50 yrds of the hotel and a slew of open air bistros about two blocks away.

Brilliant Value

Posted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: Our rooms were enormous and very modern with lovely showers and great views from two balcony's in our room. All windows were sound proof.
Cons: Unfortunately the terrace was closed during our stay which would have been nice to use to eat & drink
Location: The old town was 5 mins walk with plenty of restaurants, bars and shopping. There was also a tour bus route 5 mins walk from the hotel.
From the moment we arrived at Hotel Cismigiu, we were very well looked after. The check in was quick, location was very central and rooms were beautiful. The staff were very accommodating and breakfast was served until late which was great having had some late nights.

Perfectly placed for a city break

Posted Jun 17, 2015
Recently refurbished with a beautiful old facade, the interior is modern and airy. Rooms were very clean and comfortable with good air con. One of the best things about the hotel, however, is the reception staff. They are a lesson in how it should be done. Polite, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them - perfect. The downsides were few but at the moment breakfast is a bit chaotic, being served in the bar which is public and busy. I understand that this is being remedied soon with the addition of a terrace room. Hopefully, there will also be a private hotel bar too.

Great location and facilities

Posted Jun 16, 2015
Pros: The hotel is is in an old building but the room was AMAZING!! Two room suite with amazing amenities. The same room would cost $500-700 in New York.
Cons: Why can't hotels provide better lighting in the bathroom? This bathroom was no exception.
Location: The hotel was in a great location near all the major attractions.
I was in Bucharest only for a day as part of a longer holiday trip but it was an amazing city. I wish I had more time to explore. Virtually everyone speaks English so it made traveling very easy. Getting to the hotel was very easy. A city bus (783) travels from the airport to within three blocks of the hotel 24/7. Round trip fare was $2.00. No need to bother with a taxi. Bucharest is a beautiful city, although much of it is still a bitter tattered from Communist days.

Good hotel in a great location

Posted Jun 11, 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Very near to the 'old town' where there are lots of bars, restaurants, clubs and sights. Also very close to Cismigiu Gardens which is a lovely park.
Hotel Cismigiu is centrally located very near to Bucharest's 'old town'. Room was a good size with good air-con and shower! Breakfast also good with a choice of hot and cold dishes.Would recommend to anyone wishing to stay in Bucharest.
