“What is an unintelligent hotel?”

The three story hotel is on a hill, parking at the bottom, reception at the top. There are doors and stairwells between the parking and reception, but these are all locked after 6 p.m. and even if staff are walking past them, they will not acknowledge you or help as you struggle up and tap on the doors with your luggage. You must struggle up the hill and then up a large flight of outside steps to get to reception. The hotel boasts Internet service in every room. I could not get Internet anywhere in the hotel. BT are rolling out a new range of internet wireless access points that work, by default, on Channel 12. This channel is not available on half the world's laptop computers. If you come from overseas and stay at this, or many other hotels in Britain, you may not have internet as advertized. Breakfast was included in my Expedia price. It was a sumptious English breakfast buffet. If however like me you occassionaly heed your doctor's advice and try for the healthy option, then you will have a problem in this hotel. The fried buffet involved some half dozen fried choices, the healthy option only included one fruit - grapefruit - the one item that anyone on heart medications cannot eat! Nice one, Best Western Buckingham. I once stayed at a hotel in China that boasted it was the worlds most intelligent business hotel. I never knew what an intelligent hotel was until I stayed at the Best Western Buckingham.
