Pros: the look, the british traditional look.
Cons: the internet could be better. It cuts off at times and the creaking floors
Location: It was a small town but there was access to food places close by. Shopping wasn't was consistent with a small town.
I went for a wedding and it was a really lovely weekend.

In need of updating and some polite staffPosted May 19, 2014
This hotel needs a major refurb and some reception staff who are polite. They charge extra to use a credit card (AMEX), the beds are extremely uncomfortable and the choice at breakfast limited.

Lovely hotel in centre of a quaint & friendly townPosted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Friendly, clean and comfortable. Convenient for the centre of town. Excellent restaurant food and service. Free parking!
Cons: The flower boxes on the courtyard walls. Either plant them up or remove them. They are currently topped with anti pigeon spikes and look dirty & ugly.
Location: Location is busy and friendly. Visit the Film Place Fri/Sat - marvellous. Stowe Gardens; Bletchley Park or stay in town and enjoy the markets.
We arrived on Saturday for two nights. Our lovely sunny room overlooked a central courtyard. We strolled around town taking in a flea market on the Saturday and a Vintage Food Market on the Sunday. We walked to the volunteer run 'Film Place' on Saturday evening to see Saving Mr Banks! The restaurant food and service were exceptional. Above all in every aspect of the hotel - reception, bar, restaurant, housekeeping, everyone was smiley, friendly and helpful.

Excellent value bed and breakfast at a well equipped and staffed hotel. In a bigger or more populous town we think it would have cost a lot more.
