Updated hotel with very modern rooms - which isn’t evident from the outside. Great leisure club - pool, steam room, sauna and (only warm) tub. Plenty parking.

Nice hotel, functional & spacious, room was nice & big & very clean. The receptionist insisted we swipe a card for expenses, we explained we had dinner & breakfast plans & would pay as we go. But were told company policy. A day later, after check out & no expenses, I’ve not had the £75 refunded. Also v poor dinner recommendation of a chain restaurant. Marlow is a high end independent foodie town…

First of all, we'd like to extend our apologies that the stay was not as you would have expected due to the routine request for pre authorisation of 75 on arrival. Kindly note that IHG, along with most other major hotel companies, utilizes credit and debit card authorizations as a standard practice. It is assumed when you make a reservation for one of our hotels, the credit/debit card account number you provide has sufficient funds available to be used as a guarantee. An authorization hold amount, in some situations, may be up to the total amount of your room and tax charges for your entire stay, including incidentals. The issuing bank/credit card company governs the release of an authorization hold, and the release time varies according to each company’s individual policies. Some banks recommend against the use of a debit card for travel purposes, as this practice is common within the travel industry. Overall a great experience
My wife and I stayed here a few nights ago and rented a suite - it was a beautiful and spacious room with loads of seating areas. The bed was extremely comfortable with 2 different pillow options, and the blackout blinds are super effective. Even during the daytime, with them closed, it is pitch black in the room so daytime naps are an option. The bathroom is spacious as well, with both a shower and a bathtub, and generous quantities of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, etc. Every part of the room was super clean. My only complaint is the breakfast - unfortunately it fell short of what we were hoping for. The croissants were stale and the scrambled eggs my wife ordered she had 2 bites of and couldn't eat any more. With that being said though, the room service we had ordered in the evening the night before was excellent, and we ate every bite of it.

Very good comfortable hotel - excellent parking & breakfast. Friendly staff. We have stayed here for the last 2 Christmas as we have family who live in Marlow & insufficient room to put everyone up.

The Shining
Massive spooky winter shining hotel possibly good for corporates but not for any holiday period. Staff not interested, huge bar, eating for a 1000 and steaks like wood. Breakfast tray left outside room at 10am and still there at 7pm but with the addition of broken glass. The caretaker walks the floor as he did in 1925.

Very nice stay in a lovely small town within walking distance. Lovely big room and good service. The floor in the shower could use a non slip mat as it was very slippery taking an otherwise lovely shower.

Exceptional Hotel!
Staying prior to a funeral the next day. The staff were brilliant from the moment we walked through the door. Friendly, professional and excellent at their jobs. Food in the restaurant was excellent - best pudding I’ve had in a very, very long time! Very clean hotel and room with all you need. Highly recommend and if we ever travel to these parts again will definitely opt for this hotel.

Very decent Crowne Plaza
Very decent Crowne Plaza with beautiful views of the water from the bar/restaurant area. Plenty of parking too. The only point for improvement was breakfast. The food was very good but only basic coffee and fruit juices didn’t seem fresh to me. That can be easily improved if they wanted to.

I stay in Crown Plaza often in various location and this time round I felt let down with the standards at Marlow. It was more like a 1* star hotel mainly around the cleanliness especially in the spa area and the rooms were not at expected levels for a crown plaza hotel.

The hotel room was very nice, comfortable and clean. The hotel bar and restaurant were very good with the food , especially breakfast being very nice. The one issue we had was the spa. The photos on the website and on the room TV were very misleading. The spa was very grubby, had lack of space to relax. The pool was very cold, the steam and sauna rooms were run down and need a refurb. They only had a handful of loungers and then they had plastic garden chairs as well. You don’t go to a spa to relax and have to sit in a plastic chair. Very disappointing. Hotel very good, spa very poor.

We stayed here as a base whilst visiting Legoland (around a 20/25 min drive) Quick check in with really lovely helpful staff on reception. The kids wanted to use the leisure facilities on arrival and with restricted kids swimming times we headed to the pool. No complaints, just a pity you can’t use the facilities once you’ve checked out. We’ve not experienced this before at other hotels. We had a spacious room with 2 double beds and the usual complimentary tea, coffee etc. It also had a mini refrigerator. A nice modern space and very clean. The dining room and bar area where also very modern and the outdoor conservatory style dining area was also very pleasant with a view of the Thames and grass/play area. We dined in the bar area which we found to be overpriced and lacking in atmosphere. I think most people head in to Marlow but we’d had a long drive and hungry kids. The food was ok. Breakfast was self service with a varied collection of continental & full English all freshly prepared. We returned to the hotel on our second day to find it in total darkness after an intermittent power cut. We had to ask other guests what the issue was and managed to navigate to the room which had no running water facilities as well as total darkness. Not ideal with 2 kids! We chose to stay in the reception area and the power came on just after 11pm so a disappointing second day.

Our stay was very good the staff, food and hotel itself were excellent. We made use of the pool/ steam room. I must comment on the cleanliness of our room - 025. It was immaculate. Overall a 9.9 well done ,we will come again.
