Lovely room and comfyPosted Sep 27, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff, good parking and comfy room
Cons: Restaurant facility
The only problem here is very small restaurant, but thoroughly recommend the Beefeater just across the road. Breakfast at the hotel was fine though.

Nice hotel with good facilities, breakfast etc. Plenty of space for free car parking. Good location near Watermead Lake which is a nice place to go for a walk in the morning. Price for stay was reasonable for the bank holiday weekend and all other hotels in the area were fully booked. Very short drive from Aylesbury centre and also quite close to Waddesdon Manor. Recommended.

Holiday Inn should be ashamed - AVOID ROOM 108Posted Jun 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
Where to start on this one...... I stayed last night and will try never to make that mistake again. On arrival the welcome was having to squeeze through what I think were 2 large groups of builders sat around the front door with pizza boxes, cans of Stella and bottles of Vodka being passed around. The room was dark and stank of cigarette smoke. Opening the window is not an option as the hotels main bins are located outside the window to room 108 and they were overflowing and giving off an unbelievable stench. The hotels main Air con units are also just outside the window to room 108. The aircon in the room despite being switched off also made continuous noises throughout the night. The waste in both the sink and shower/bath is too slow and you end up standing in a foot of water when showering and having to remove the non-popping up waste in the sink or you flood the room when you wash your hands. The only comment from reception at my dissatisfaction was "it's not one of our better rooms". I personally feel that £90 room only for the room I had was a rip off. You'll also find it better to go out to eat, the dining room / bar is the most sole destroying room I've ever tried to have a drink in.

Pleasant enough but surprised its a Holiday InnPosted May 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel was very average - nothing great but nothing bad neither, only issue was the kids bed wasn't set up or bedding available on arrival, but no great shakes there really just a minor inconvenience. breakfast was full cooked but below average. I have stayed in many many Holiday Inn's but this was certainly not their usual standard. The area was one of those "I hope my car will be okay overnight" types, but plenty of parking given it is such a small hotel. All in all, not nasty - just underwhelming.

Wasted site and opportunity. Requires updatingPosted Mar 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
Poor hospitality. Poor customer care. Tired looking. Wasted site opportunity for a busy town. Room smell of cigarette smoke even with NO SMOKING admitted. Staff overlook issues and hospitality non-existing. Better staff training perhaps!

Ok for a one night stayPosted Nov 23, 2012 on Hotels.com
It took a while to find the hotel, (my Tomtom had taken me about half a mile past the hotel so be wary of the postcode in your satnav!!) but I found it to be clean, although a little tired, and friendly. It's on a main junction but the noise was pleasantly minimal. I'll use again due to it's location but only at the right price

The hotel needs upgrading, it is looking old and run down with old fashioned dated furnishings. We only had a trickle of hot water in the bathroom so taking a shower was not easy. The fridge was not stocked at all. The bed was comfortable though, the bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly.
