Very Pleasant Evening at the Five Arrows HotelPosted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: As above
From the moment we arrived at the moment we left the staff at the hotel and restaurant were, frankly outstanding! Very friendly and welcoming. We was shown to our room, and shown around it i.e. the faculties such as lights how to operate the shower etc., We were also asked and shown the menu for the on site restaurant. The room was large well equipped, with iron and ironing board, and a fan, tea and coffee as you would except the bed is HUGE!!! A proper American size king size.

Lovely hotel, very pleasant staff, food was outstanding!! Massive wine selection thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only gripe was room could of been a bit cleaner, but was by no means dirty and this is me being picky!

SpecialPosted Oct 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
The reception is not ideal, being in the bar, at the back of the hotel. And the car park is not esy to find, unless you know where it is! You need to turn down a street in the village a few hundred yards before (or after, if you're travelling towards Aylesbury) the hotel, and then look for signs for it! However the hotel is really special. Service was superb. Room spacious, well appointed with little extras like bottled water by the bed. Good hairdrier, good quavlity toiletries, free wifi. Only negative was it was in a different building from the dining room, so you needed a coat to go to dinner or breakfat if it was raining! Dinner was excellent. Not cheap, but well worth the cost. The guinea fowl I had was particularly superb. I would certainly reccommend it.

Et fint ophold på et flot hotelPosted Oct 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
Vi boede 2 nætter på hotellet. Vi var på vej til et familiebesøg, så beliggenheden var det vigtigste. Hotellet ligger utroligt flot. Personalet var meget venlige og hjælpsomme. Morgenmaden var perfekt. Vi vil helt sikkert besøge The Five Arrows Hotel igen.

Fantastic Hotel and rstaurant.Posted Oct 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
Just fantastic from start to finish. Spacious car park. Check in was efficient and friendly and had my bag carried to my room. Room was lovely with a huge bathroom including a separate shower and bath. Everything you could want. Had a meal in the restaurant which was outstanding. Served by a young lad who was friendly and funny whilst no being over the top. Not rushed to leave the table despite it being fairly busy. Breakfast was again faultless, excellent choice and quality, with fantastic service. A little hiccup with the billon check out was sorted without any fuss. What more could you want.

Heavenly - friendly, comfortable, a real treatPosted Sep 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
The staff were so kind and welcoming, and gave us all the information we needed. They let us leave our bags early before the event we were going to, without any hassle. The room was spacious and light and the incredibly comfortable bed and amazing shower were pure delights. There isn't very much going on in the surrounding area so it was tricky to get anywhere easily with no car, but I would definitely stay here again if I could find an excuse to.

Everything was first class - could not fault it in any way. Wonderful building, lovely garden setting, decor in keeping, great service, excellent food, and a comfy room too. What more could one possibly want? Higly recommended

Great hotelPosted Aug 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
We could not have been made more welcome, without exception all the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room in the main hotel was very comfortable, lovely toiletries, clean white fluffy towels plus fresh bottles of water and biscuits supplied each day. Pleasant outdoor seating area and garden with ample on-site parking. The evening meals were beautifully presented and delicious and would definitely recommend the warm chocolate mousse with almond and sea salt ice cream if you are a chocoholic!

Hotel doesn't live up to its reputationPosted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: The proximity to Waddesden Manor which was the reason for our trip.
Cons: Lots but the age, position and architecture unfortunately does not allow it.
Location: Easy access from a very busy road and adequate parking at the rear. Waddesden Manor is presumably the main reason for people visiting the area.
We we're put into room 5 on the front of the hotel and overlooking the main A41 road to Aylesbury. We have never experienced such a noisy room in any other hotel, it was relentless. We had dinner in the restaurant which was mixed. One main course was completely tasteless with the meat being unrecognisable if you closed your eyes. It was not cheap either. The decor was tired and needed refreshing. Something had been dropped on the stairs which looked like polystyrene, and remained there for the three days we were there. Very disappointed indeed.
