short stayPosted Mar 1, 2015
The ambience in the restaurant was deadly as we could only hear the conversation from the next table. The food was not bad but was a bit over priced.

Very Pleasant Evening at the Five Arrows HotelPosted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: As above
From the moment we arrived at the moment we left the staff at the hotel and restaurant were, frankly outstanding! Very friendly and welcoming. We was shown to our room, and shown around it i.e. the faculties such as lights how to operate the shower etc., We were also asked and shown the menu for the on site restaurant. The room was large well equipped, with iron and ironing board, and a fan, tea and coffee as you would except the bed is HUGE!!! A proper American size king size.

Very goodPosted Jan 22, 2015 on Hotels.com
Lovely room and staff, food etc were excellent. Only problem was road noise, but this was outweighed by the rest. Would certainly stay there again.

Very good, if you don't mind some traffic noise.Posted Jan 12, 2015 on Hotels.com
Stayed here for one night on a short break with my wife. Very pleasant looking building, both outside and in. Room was pleasant size, with an outside balcony (sadly unused due to rain and wind). Furnishings were comfortable, although the armchair and desk were a little tired. Bed excellent and very comfortable. Breakfast was also very good, but I found the dining room quite overheated. However, unfortunately the building is right on the busy A41 Bicester-Aylesbury road. This meant that unless you sleep very soundly indeed, traffic noise is an issue for rooms at the front of the hotel. Even at 4am on a Saturday morning, there is still a regular number of heavy trucks going past. Some rooms face away from the road at the back of the building, so they may be better.

Lovely hotel, very pleasant staff, food was outstanding!! Massive wine selection thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only gripe was room could of been a bit cleaner, but was by no means dirty and this is me being picky!

SpecialPosted Oct 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
The reception is not ideal, being in the bar, at the back of the hotel. And the car park is not esy to find, unless you know where it is! You need to turn down a street in the village a few hundred yards before (or after, if you're travelling towards Aylesbury) the hotel, and then look for signs for it! However the hotel is really special. Service was superb. Room spacious, well appointed with little extras like bottled water by the bed. Good hairdrier, good quavlity toiletries, free wifi. Only negative was it was in a different building from the dining room, so you needed a coat to go to dinner or breakfat if it was raining! Dinner was excellent. Not cheap, but well worth the cost. The guinea fowl I had was particularly superb. I would certainly reccommend it.
