“Great location, very helpful staff, basic room service, no tea/coffee/kettle in room, breakfast poor”

It's great location, within walking distance to main attractions. Staffs are very helpful and really nice. Hotel environment and rooms are clean and well looked after, but very basic: no tea/coffee and kettle in the room so could be a small problem for the English tourists who love to have a cup of tea after a day out! We find breakfast a bit of a disappointment though other people already mentioned in their review. It's very basic, moreover it seems the hotel is fully booked and staff can't cope with so many people coming down for breakfast It does not matter whether we came down at 9.30 or 9, or 7.15 , all 3 breakfasts when we were there, every morning we had to wait for either knives/folks, even plates, or for table to sit down or for food! Other than that, the rooms are clean, quiet and well served. If wireless internet connection is a must, you might need to put a request for a room with good signal as one of our rooms had wireless connection, the other did not! All in all, we are happy with the hotel considering the price we paid. Not a 4* with that kind of breakfast and no tea/coffee/kettle in the room though!

“Ideal location in Budapest”

Our first visit to this beautiful city and we were very pleased with the quality and location of this hotel with very helpful staff and it was easy to get to from the airport using public transport. We walked from the hotel to many of the interesting sights and there are many good value restaurants nearby including an 'all you can eat and drink in 3 hours' restaurant in the same road! - ideal for big groups. The restaurant where we ate breakfast is very attractive but unfortunately breakfast wasn't always reliable - it is adequate but to run out of jam is not good planning!! - good selection of bread, cheese and hot dishes and some cereal. Overall a good choice of hotel and a supermarket nearby for buying lunch! We got the 4th night free so good value!

“Location, location, err, service”

This hotel is perfectly located for having fun in Budapest. There's no river view, in fact there's no view at all, but you are around 5 minutes walk from 70% of everything you'll want to see or do, and 2 minutes walk from numerous public transport stops to get you to the other 30%. Reception, the lobby and the public areas have been treated to a lick of paint that everywhere else needs very, very soon, but it's all clean and the rooms are a good size unless you are American, and very comfortable. No baths, ladies, I'm afraid, just a shower. Staff are faultless and will help you in anyway they can. Breakfast isn't going to win any culinary prizes, but there was enough choice for a different breakfast every day for the 3 days we were there. Overall, brilliant, and astonishing value for money.

“Perfect location to discover Budapest”

Situated close to a metro station (the only one covering all three lines)and tram stop, and within about 15 mins walk of the river ~ a perfect location for those wishing to discover Budapest at their own pace. Extremely helpful staff who spoke excellent English (thank goodness!) and lovely comfortable room with fantastic hot shower. Would highly recommend this hotel ~ a lucky choice for us!

“Inexpensive and Lovely - - well worth it!”

The ONE complaint I have is that I was told upon arrival that I needed the Expedia print-out to check in. I'm not sure if this is accurate or not-so I don't know if the fault lie with Expedia for not telling me, or the hotel for giving me faulty info. However, they handled it smoothly once I told them I did not have it and was not told to bring it - they simply printed a letter with the itinerary number on it and had me sign it to prove that I stayed there. Other than that, everything was really great. I got an sweet deal for a 3-star hotel in a super convenient location. The room was clean & nice to look at. The lobby was FABULOUS with its stained glass ceiling. The free breakfast had a good variety (even for a vegetarian like me) and was tasty-except the coffee, too weak for a coffee snob like me. The bed & pillows were super comfy. Free wi-fi too. I was able to walk to the Danube, down Fashion Street, in 15 minutes-and down to the Chain Bridge in another 5. Super location. I was literally around the corner from both St Stephens Basilica, as well as Dohany Street Synagogue. Great location for exploring on foot, or by public transit-which was at the end of the street, maybe a 3 minute walk. Hotel staff answered all questions I had-attractions, getting around, post office, certain Hungarian words, etc. All in all, I had an excellent 1st trip to Budapest-a good amount of that was due to the Alfa Fiesta Hotel. I would stay there again in a minute & refer anyone there too.

“good price for great location”

Great location, good breakfast with lots of variety and something for everyone. Hotel is a little dated but clean and comfortable. The main plus with this hotel is excellent service from all of the staff from front desk to chambermaids.
