Nice hotel close to the riverPosted Oct 23, 2013
Location: Hotel was on the quieter 'Buda' side which suited us. Easy access to the river front and bus/tram for occasion we used them.
Hotel was on the quieter 'Buda' side which suited us. Easy access to the river front and bus/tram for occasion we used them. Hotel seemed busy but staff always had time for us and spoke excellent English. No complaints with the room. Good sized and comes with all you need for a few days stay.

Easy walk to thingsPosted Sep 17, 2013
Nice tucked away from the noise of the city. We were able to walk to all our our destinations. Only real complaint is that the pillows could be more supportive.

Nice location on the Buda side.Posted Jul 2, 2013
The hotel is nicely located right between Castle Hill and Gellert Hill on the Buda side. I had no problems walking to either location. Also the Elizabeth Bridge is close by for access to the Pest side. The hotel is only about a block away from the Danube and that is very much worth a look in both the day and night. The staff was very professional and friendly, and my room was very quiet. I arrived several hours before check in time because of when my train arrived in Budapest, and they actually gave me a room at no extra charge.

Too many wrongs to ignorePosted Jun 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
On three very hot days, the room's AC did not work at all, the bed was a queen in that there were two twin beds pushed together, but easily came apart once you neared the crease. The fitness centre was closed very early. The saving grace is the location, but there really isn't a bad location in the centre of Budapest. The staff speak basic English so be prepared to speak slow or not be understood by one or two staff members. I cannot recommend this hotel.

Orion hotel in BudaPosted Jun 28, 2013
Pros: Good location
Cons: No restaurant or bar service, not even for a coffee in the daytime
Location: Very close to the Danube, Elizabeth & Chain bridges. At the foot of the Castle Hill with easy access to Royal Palace
Nice, clean, quiet hotel in a good location in Buda, only 2 minutes walk to the river. The downside was that because of low occupancy they only served breakfast. There was no facility for lunch or dinner and they did not open the small bar.
