We like the style and feel off the Hotel, the staff were very polite and helpful.. The room was basic and the TV didnt really work, bit we were only there to sleep in the evenings.. Breakfast was nice, could off been a few more options.. Would stay again..

In terms of value for money, I can't think of a better place to stay when coming to visit Budapest. I stayed here five years ago when travelling to Budapest alone and this time stayed with my partner. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast varied and the staff are super friendly and helpful. (The freshly squeezed orange machine at breakfast is definitely a favourite for me) On our last day we were able to store our luggage securely after check-out and were even invited to help ourselves to the complimentary coffee and tea whilst waiting for the taxi to the airport (which they arranged for us). Those little touches are what help make this place special. Location is also excellent with a wide range of cafes restaurants and bars within a short distance. You can be in the city centre within a ten minute walk and can be walking alongside the River Danube within 2-3 minutes. The Great Market Hall is also less than 5 minutes walk away. I'm already looking forward to returning to Budapest as there is so much yet to see. I'll definitely be considering staying at the Bohem again.

This hotel is in a great location and has a fantastic breakfast. The free daily water in the room was a nice touch. However, the beds were very uncomfortable, we were not given the WiFi code or told that the restaurant was closed in the evening and the bar was closed during our stay. The heating and air conditioning didn’t work in the room. It was far too hot in the room, so you had to open the window and it was -4c outside. So then it was too cold. There was never anyone available on Reception to ask for help. They also didn’t replace the towels or restock the minibar when cleaning the room each day. For the price, it was still very good; but they need to honest about the facilities that are on offer.

I particularly appreciate the location. It is on a quiet street but only a few blocks away from the busy central market and Danube river. The room (2 single bed room) is small, sufficient but very basic.

Wonderful hotel and we will return!
We had a fantastic 3 night stay here. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a family room (room 102) and we had lots of space for us and for all of our stuff. The shower was nice and powerful, the room was cleaned really well. The bed was a little firm but we found it very comfortable. The location is excellent, quite central to lots of the things we wanted to visit, and less than a mile across into Buda to visit the Gellert baths. There is a lot of construction in the streets outside the hotel but it only adds to the adventure of finding your way! We didn’t really notice any noise from that when the windows were closed. Breakfast was nice, lots of choice, although I really missed having normal tea with milk. Overall it was amazing value and we would love to come back as Budapest was beautiful!

Stinky Room/Broken elevator. Repeat of yesterday
Boehm Art Hotel Budapest. Firstly, only one of the two elevators in the hotel is functioning. This resulted in long wait times. Upon check in to our suite, my fiancé said the entire room, and especially the bathroom had a foul odor. I should have immediately notified management to change rooms, but we were anxious to start our vacation, so ignored my fiancé’s complaint. The next morning the foul odor was much stronger. I went to the front desk and made the attendant aware of the problem. She indicated that the problem would be resolved if we allowed the water to run in the sink & shower for 5 minutes. We did so, and left the room for the day. Upon return, the odor was even more repulsive, but it was late and my fiancé was ill and did not want to repack and switch rooms at 11pm. At 8am the following day, I requested room change and conference with the hotel manager. We needed to wait an hour to change rooms and were consequently late for a booked excursion. I explained the dissatisfaction and inconvenience to the manager. I proposed that he waived the $30 Euro late check out fee and “comp” us 2 standard breakfast meals. He indicated that my request was excessive, and offered to waive a $30 Euro 3 hour late fee, but not the breakfasts, which I’m sure would have cost the hotel not more than $5 Euro. I should not have accepted the room with the foul odor at check in, but was later informed that the staff knew this was a perpetual problem.

Dealing with concerns like this is something that my team is constantly excelling in.I am sorry to read you hesitated several times to contact our staff, and once we had the opportunity, we arranged the room change for you at the earliest possibility alongside with offering a compensation to express our recognition of your discomfort. Due to the fact that the resolution of this issue was delayed as a consequence of your continuous hesitancy in clear communication, unfortunately we could not extend the compensation to what you would have desired, and I am sorry for the displeasure you experienced as a result. Also, I apologize for the inconvenience regarding the elevators. As a matter of fact, there are three elevators for our guests to use and it is quite a misfortune that one of them required maintenance during those few days that you spent with us. Rest assured, thanks to our regular check-ups, all 3 of them are working properly since then.We are sorry that your experience was any less than perfect; however, we can take responsibility and offer compensation only for those faults that could not be resolved in spite of being aware of the obstacles. Great place to stay - right off Danube- close to marketplace , restaurants and very quite. Front desk not too helpful, but you can easily find info out on your own. Room was clean - typical European room - not very spacious but adequate.

Friendly and efficient and nice staff. The room was spotless and well appointed. Quick elevators. Great shower. Seems to be a pretty new place, everything is in good condition. Ample and tasty breakfast for €15, more than I could reasonably eat, worth it if you’re a big eater. One block to a pedestrian mall with tons of shopping and dining. Two blocks to metro, tram, bus. Across the river from Gellert baths. Excellent location! They let you store your luggage after check out if you’re departing later in the day. Definitely a great deal for the price.
