“Utterly Amazing”

Budapest is a very unique city, and Boulevard City Hotel is a very unique place to stay in order to experience it. Don't be put off by the slightly foreboding entrance hallway and courtyard; once you get up to the hotel itself (which is situated on the 8th floor of an apartment block) you will be welcomed with a lovely country style reception and breakfast room. Our room itself was on the fourth floor, though this was no hassle at all. The room (or rather, apartment!) that myself and my friend had been assigned was absolutely incredible, especially considering how cheap it was. As far as I was aware, we had just booked a twin room, so to be given a kitchen diner and living room attached to it was quite the lovely surprise! The living room in particular was massive, located in the turret as commonly shown in the photos of this hotel, and everything was decorated with taste and thought. The bedroom was comfortable, the beds a good size, though the pillows were a little flat but due to their square shape, they could be folded in half to make a decent pillow. We even had a little balcony and the view from both the balcony and the four windows in the living room was perfect- a real taste of Budapest's quaint backstreets. Breakfast was both comfortable and tasty, with a nice selection of your usual continental items along with a few Hungarian touches (apricot juice and pate, for example). The location of the hotel was ideal, just five minutes from the hustle of central Pest.

“Good stay in Budapest”

This was a great place. 4 min from the tram and bus stop, near eating places and groceries. The large room had a kitchen. I would definitely go back here again.

Great location, great value for money and friendly, helpful staff. Within within walking distance of the city centre and very close to metro station so nice and easy to get around the city. Also close to local shops including an Aldi supermarket and a nice little street of bars and restaurants. Great place to explore the city from.

“Great value for your money”

The hotel is very nice. Our room was simple but clean and spacious. The staff is cordial. There was a problem with the internet that they could not solve, but besides that everything worked fine, especially the A/C which was needed badly. The hotel is located in on the corner of a small street and a main one. If you are for a quiet room, you should specifically ask. The location is great. Many shops, cafes, restaurant and, kiosks are in the block. As for public transportation ( which is great in Budapest), you get to the main tram lines in a few minutes walk.

“Be good to yourself, don't go there.”

1. When I arrived, the refrigerator was not working, it had to be changed for another one from another room 2. The rest room was so dirty, I had to ask them to clean it up 3. The WiFi is not working, and what's worse, they don't admit it. At first, they accused me that the problem must be in my computer. So I took the computer to a service company, they checked it, it was OK. I asked the hotel to call service, and check the WiFi. They said they did, but then the Internet connection still wasn't working. So I took my computer to another service, and it was OK, again. Then I gave it up. But the hotel owner mad a remark, and that gave me an idea that they probably did not want to spend money on repairing the internet. 4. They cleaned the room often once every three days. 5. They needed 8 (!) days to change the sheets. I had some problems in Budapest in hotels, but this place was far the worse.
