“Just what we were looking for”

A fantastic hotel, the staff where friendly and happy to help with everything from general queries about the area to booking onto the traditional tourist trips. The hotel is located about a 10min from Keleti station which is a 45min bus ride from the airport and is a good metro link to the rest of the city. The rooms where basic but modern, clean and to a high standard, the only issue with the room is that we requested a double room with a bath, this was provided but we had to have 2 single duvets which was a bit bizarre. The hotel does a fantastic breakfast which was included in the room rate and cannot be faulted. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but there are many in the local area to suit all tastes and budgets, there is a small bar that seemed to be always open. A fantastic hotel that I would definately recommend.

“Great City, Great Hotel”

Loved my stay at the Bristol. Hotel was modern and the room was ultra clean and of a pretty decent size. Located on the border of Budapest's Eighth District, which is supposed to be an up-and-coming neighborhood (if you believe the New York Times) -- a very un-touristy part of town, which I like. About a mile or so from the main city center and 2 blocks from both the subway and streetcars so easy to get everywhere on transit -- though I walked everywhere. The continental breakfast was wonderful and the hotel staff were very friendly. I failed to make use of the sauna, which I discovered only as I was checking -- it looked super nice, so I was disappointed about that. Great hotel for the price -- I would highly recommend!!!

Initially neighbourhood seems a bit run down, but this is Budapest with it's particular history and it's as safe as many 'better' areas in other cities. The hotel is lovely; clean, friendly and provides as good a service as I'd wanted. Get a public transport ticket for your length of stay and you have no problems getting anywhere in the city quickly from this hotel. And there's a lot of interesting places in walking distance not on the general tourist trail. When I go back to Budapest, I'll try to book in at the Bristol.

“Nothing negative to say”

Hotel great location, bus to metro 5min. Metro great, as all metros in europe. Buffet gets a 10 in my book. Very clean, and staff are very helpful. If it rains when you are there don't hesitate to ask staff about umbrella. They will lend you one. Neighborhood is good, no issue during my stay.

The hotel has been newly renovated and the whole hotel is like brand new with modern furniture and bathrooms. Staff speak English and are very helpful. I would definitely use this Hotel again. 5 min walk to the Metro Station. Very reasonably priced.

Welcome informal and helpful. Good modern room with lots of space and wet room. Excellent breakfast provision Handy for tourist buses and for main railway station to rest of country. Nothing too much trouble for staff with them having good English. Would recommend to anyone.

We will recommend this hotel to anyone we know thinking of visiting Budapest. And we paid a very reasonable price. The location too proved very good for the city centre, with plenty of buses and midway between two Metro stations. The breakfasts were up there with the best hotel breakfasts we have ever had. There was some street noise on the first noise and the next morning we requested a room move for the remaining two nights, which was agreed and organised without any fuss. We enjoyed the sauna, in with the price.
