“Clean, Safe and Convenient”
I am a solo female traveler and this hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very quiet, clean and modern. It's close to trams, metro, just a block from the Great Hall and one block from some gorgeous Danube scenery, monuments, etc. Would definitely go there again - the price was very right!
“Absolutely Impressed!”
I have absolutely no complaints about his hotel. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful (provided great tourist recommendations); the breakfast buffet was more than adequate; the rooms were clean; the location was superb; and there was free use of the internet on the hotel, business center computer. The hotel was situation in a safe area and there was great shopping and restaurants right next to the hotel. There was a huge "bazaar"/market across the street that opened at 0630 in the morning. The hotel is situation near the Danube river on the other side of the bridge from the Rock Temple, Citadel, and Gehlart Spa. I enjoyed my stay in Budapest and, as a strict critic of places, I highly recommend this hotel.
“Great little place”
We spent 2 very pleasant nights at Hotel Zara. The hotel is very attractive, has a friendly and helpful staff, great location for the tourist, and a good breakfast. The only negative is that the rooms are very small. The fact that they are well organized makes this less of a problem. They are very clean and comfortable, except for the size. Free internet in the rooms is also a plus. I would stay at Hotel Zara again and recommend it to other travelers.
“Fine hotel for the money”
The room was just fine, as long as you understand that it not going to be the size of a luxury hotel. Breakfast offered many choices. Be aware that you are at the bottom of the shopping street, at the other end from Chain Bridge, the basilica, the palace on the other side of the river, more picturesque areas, etc Easy enough to get to where you want to go with public transportation or on foot, but something to consider. Hop-on bus yellow line is only a block away but getting to other side of the river requires transferring and riding all around the city first on the red line or else walking 10 minutes to catch the red line elsewhere. Hotel staff is VERY helpful.
“Very Impressed”
The staff was more than helpful, and the location excellent. The free breakfast was a pleasant surprise, as well. My business travels will take me back to Budapest again, and I also plan to stay there when I return with my family for a vacation.
“Very nice hotel, great location”
This is nice hotel just across the big market (it's on a small street behind the Burger King building). The staff was always nice and friendly and they were speaking English. The breakfast was very good also. You can benefit from the swimming pool from the Continental Zara hotel which is close enough. The only problem were the walls which are pretty thin and some people don't care if they disturb others. I couldn't give 5 points for cleanliness of the room because for some reason the room wasn't fully clean when we checked in (even if we had a late flight and arrived after 20:00). The room cleaning was ok in the following days.
“Solid Four-Star Hotel”
I was extremely pleased with this hotel. I stayed here in mid-october and would have no reservations about recommending this to someone. The location is terriffic, but because it is located on a sidestreet, it is nice and quiet. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive to all my requests. the breakfast buffet is a terriffic value. The room itself was very modern and comfortable. A solid Four-Stars for this one.
“Delightful hotel and staff. Excellent location.”
This is a wonderful little hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent - close to the old central market and the Gellerd baths.
“Can't wait to go back",”
