“An excellent place to stay”

Boutique Hotel Zara is a modern, comfortable place, ideally located for visiting Buda or Pest. One street back from the embankment of the Danube, you can stroll along the river or walk through the shopping area to the centre of Pest.The decor is clean and appears to be newly refurbished and the staff are friendly and helpful - although it does become a bit tedious to be greeted with "Good Evening" by three members of staff on the desk EVERY time you walk past them. The buffet breakfast was well laid-out, with a wide variety of choices, so something to suit everyone. The bar area is comfortable, although there is not always someone behind the bar for immediate service, you may have to go along to Reception first. Only criticism would be the early cleaning of the rooms in the morning, around 8.30a.m. so unless you have put a 'Do not disturb' sign on, they will knock. They also tend to tie up the lift with their linen trolley so be prepared to walk down to breakfast - which is not so great when you are on the 6th floor! Overall a good, clean, comfortabe hotel in a good location. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

“Impressed with hotel”

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. As mentioned in other reviews, the room was a bit smaller than most major 'chain' hotels in US but comfortable. If you want to stay in to watch TV there is limited service. However, the location of this hotel, at one end of Vaci St (a pedestrian only street) and across from the Market Hall, makes this a very good start off point. Many attractions are within walking distance and most of the major attractions are within 30 minutes. The hotel staff are very friendly and are willing to help you. Language is not an issue.

“C'est chic!”

Excellent value for such a charming hotel. The location is well placed and in the tourist area for gifts and meals. Most of the city is being rejuvinated, which is good news for restoring all the beautiful Art Nouveau buildings, however, drilling could be heard on our bedroom early in the morning. Breakfast was of a high standard, as was the general level of service. After asking for a late night cuppa, we received a kettle and drinks tray shortly after in our room

“Excellent service”

Excellent location, with Vaci Utca just around one corner, the Great Market Hall around another and the Liberty Bridge just across the square. The Gellert Baths are just a stroll across the bridge and you can buy a day ticket from the Zara hotel reception The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was maybe a bit on the small side but was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet was standard Euro-fare with rolls, pastries, yoghurt, cereal etc, but plentiful and varied. Would certainly consider staying here again and would be happy to recommend the hotel.

The staff was more than helpful, and the location excellent. The free breakfast was a pleasant surprise, as well. My business travels will take me back to Budapest again, and I also plan to stay there when I return with my family for a vacation.

“Excellent location, beautiful rooms”

Lovely place to stay. The rooms looked great and were comfortable, the food was always tasty, the staff were polite and we were overall very impressed. Location-wise, it was ideal. There were many restaurants close by, some cheap, others not so much. Also a tram stop 2 mins away and a metro station 5 mins walk away, as well as a 24 hour shop very close. All in all, a great hotel in a great location. Highly recommmended.

“Excellent Hotel”

The hotel is modern & contemporary, and the rooms were well maintained and clean. All of the staff spoke very good English and were all helpful. The buffet continental breakfast was reasonable, and the dining room comfortable if a little small. But don't be fooled by references to the restaurant, as it doesn't serve any other meals. The hotel location was good, being around 100 yards from the Liberty Bridge, at the end of Vaci Utca, and opposite the Market Hall. All in all, if we ever go back to Budapest we would definitely use the Hotel Zara.

“Great little place”

We spent 2 very pleasant nights at Hotel Zara. The hotel is very attractive, has a friendly and helpful staff, great location for the tourist, and a good breakfast. The only negative is that the rooms are very small. The fact that they are well organized makes this less of a problem. They are very clean and comfortable, except for the size. Free internet in the rooms is also a plus. I would stay at Hotel Zara again and recommend it to other travelers.

“EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY”

This hotel was great for the four day break, we loved the location close to everything we wanted to see.The staff were very helpful pleasent and spoke good english.The breakfast was good and did not feel we were been rushed even after it was ment to be finished.The rooms are small but the hotel is spotless and the shower is excllent.
