“Excellent Five Star Hotel and Spa”

The Corinthia hotel is a modern hotel within a classical 19th century building. It's made the most of its architecture, so that every room opens up to an indoor courtyard and has a view of another courtyard. The staff was friendly and the rooms were spotless and well maintained. The spa was excellent. It's not in the heart of the tourist area, but is only a ten minute walk from the opera, and fifteen minutes to St. Steven's basilica. Vaci street (the main tourist walking street) and the Danube are about a 20 minute walk. It's also has a tram stop directly in front, and the nearest metro stop (Oktogon) is a five minute walk away.

“Excellent hotel”

Luxury hotel with great attentive service. The upgrade to the Executive Club represented great value on what was already a good rate on expedia. Superb quality renovation & loved the spa. The location is a few streets back from the Danube on the Pest side but near to Andrassy, designer shops; and plenty of restaurants. Close to the metro and the trams run past the front of the hotel every few minutes. Hop on, hop off city tour is a great way to get your bearings and would also highly recommend the free walking tour of the Jewish quarter which departs on alternative days at 3.30pm. Budapest is a great city of many cultures & influences. Had plenty to keep us occupied for 4 days even if it rained every day! Only recommendation would be that the hotel's executive lounge had a designated non-smoking area

“Great spa”

We went for a surprise weekend brfeak and it didn't disappoint. The hotel was fantastic. The spa was great and all the sights can be reached on foot. The breakfast wasn't included and was pretty pricey so we just ate out instead. Highly recommended

“Best In Budapest!”

The Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal is a brilliant hotel! My girlfriend and I stayed there for 6 nights last week and had the time of our lives. The Hotel is situated in a perfect place in Pest-within walking distance of everything really, and there are lots of useful shops and restaurants nearby. The staff are brilliant. You get the impression that they would (and probably have) move mountains for you, and they genuinely look like they enjoy themselves (they actually have a laugh with each other instead of just being statues with glum faces). Perfect English is spoken in the Hotel, as is just about every other language in the world. The Concierge are very useful, and we booked a few taxis with them to some attractions (the drivers wait for one hour free of charge!). The rooms are lovely and very spacious. The bathrooms are really nice with lots of room and the seperate bath/shower is an added luxury. The food in the Hotel is really great. The Rickshaw restaurant (Sushi/Asain) was really nice, but very expensive (about 70 quid for a two person set menu with one bottle of wine). The Bock Bistro is superb. The place is such a great restaurant with so many wines to chose from, and alot of locals go there so you don't feel like you're in the hotel at all. I highly recommend this hotel. However, if you want to really explore the city, then go somewhere that isn't as luxurious, as you won't want to leave!

“One of the best”

The hotel is very impressive - the facilities are second to none and the restaurants excellent. Service was extremely good, although every where we went service was exceptional.The staff were friendly and helpfull - nothing seems too much trouble. Would recommend this hotel to anyone whether business or leisure

“Very satisfied”

This hotel absolutely is one of the best in town with all necessary services. Concierge service was the best we ever had. Although location is not really downtown it is close near other very interesting places to visit.

“Best choice in Budapest”

The only con of this hotel would be the location that is not bad as is not to far from various landmarks (i.e. the opera house, which I strongly recomend to visit) but the neighbourhood is not very nice. Beside this the rest is all great. I will return for sure.

“Great Hotel”

The Corinthia was one of the delights of our stay in Budapest. We got a great deal and although we were offered an upgrade when we checked in, we didn't take it. The "basic" room we were given was everything we could have hoped for -- a marble bath with a separate shower, a spacious bedroom, tasteful furniture, a desk, very comfortable bed -- all clean and very well maintained. The staff all spoke English and were eager to help. A tram runs in front of the hotel and the location is an easy walk to the opera. The common areas of the hotel are grand, but not ostentatious. Computers are available free in the business center. My wife is using a photo of the main staircase as the screen saver on her computer!

“Wonderful, stylish hotel in the heart of Budapest”

The Corinthia Royal is a relaxed and stylish hotel, ideally located near to the more upmarket restaurants and bars in Budapest. It may miss out on location to some of the other main hotel chains located along the river, but it makes up for it in elegance. We were in an executive room which looked out onto one of the three airy atriums that define the hotel. The adjacent spa is modern and a real treat after a hard day sightseeing! Our one and only grumble was the slightly poor offering at breakfast, particularly for the hot food - for the price and quality you'd be better off wandering 5 minutes to the nearby bars and eat breakfast whilst relaxing in the sunshine. The room service breakfast fared better though so I won't complain too much. A friendly, upmarket hotel with character and good service.
