Faultless hotel and great location

Posted Sep 21, 2014
Wanted to treat my partner to a nice hotel on a 4 night break to Budapest. Everything about the hotel was perfect, the room, staff, hotel facilities and the location were more than I could've hoped for.

Beautiful hotel in convenient location

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: The style, standards of everything and the ambience / atmosphere. Position was good within the city.
Cons: Create a private outside smoking area. My wife and I both smoke but booked a non smoking room because we hate the smell. We always go outside.
Location: Budapest is a beautiful city with many options for eating out and a great nightlife for the younger people.
The loveliest hotel my wife and I have ever stayed in. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. We did not eat at the hotel because we went out to different restaurants each day but the menus were exciting and the prices not that bad. We made a lot of use of the spa and swimming pool which were fantastic. The only problem we had was the £5.00 cost of a small tin of peanuts from the room mini bar.

The corinthia grand hotel is beautiful in fantastic location. 20min walk to the centre of the city. Staff are nice , helpful and well spoken. The breakfast is worth the money and the spa which we used every day is FANTASTIC!! Stayed from 2.9-6.9. 14

No wake-up call on "get away" day!

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: It was clean, stately looking. The folks in the Executive Club were very professional.
If there is one wake-up call that a hotel CANNOT MISS...it's on "get-away" day when flight connections are at risk. The hotel missed my 3 AM wake-up call! Other than that HUGE oversight on their part, and a very expensive mixed drinks hotel bar, it was a good stay.

Fantastic staff. All needs will be met.

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: The staff and the decor/building itself. Truly breathtaking.
Cons: As you tend to spend extra on this hotel than an average hotel in Budapest, it would be nice to see a little more included (transfers, breakfast) etc.
Location: We didn't make it there but the Terror Museum is about 10 minute walk. Also,City Gardens which hosts beautiful outdoor baths.
We used the Hotel's car service so we were met at the airport by our driver who looked very professional and was very pleasant. Whilst the car service is a little pricey, it was my partner's birthday so I thought it was a nice occasion to travel in style. The transfer did not dissapoint. We were shown to a pristine Mercedes complete with waters and newspapers/magazines to read from the airport to the hotel. Good start. The check in was swift and efficient and our bags were immediately taken to our room on the 4th floor. The hotel truly is beautiful but it did take us a while to get out bearings due to it's size! I had previously been in contact with hotel staff via email to organise for a bottle of champagne to be set up for our arrival as an extra treat for my boyfriend. When we entered the room, the bottle of champagne was there in it's ice bucket, but it was also accompanied with a beautifully made cake (from the hotel's own patisserie) and a card wishing my boyfriend a happy birthday. This was a lovely touch and set the tone for what was a very enjoyable trip for us. The location is a bit of a walk from the major attractions but perfect if you enjoy exploring by public transport and by foot. City Park is a lovely walk from the hotel and the river if only about 25 minutes walk also. The area is full of nice shops and places to eat and drink and the feel is generally very chilled. Beautifully restored, fantastic service and definitely worth spending extra on.

Quality hotel slightly out of the centre

Posted Sep 3, 2014
The hotel is excellent. Good service and staff. The only downside being it is on a busy round in pest. So somewhat of a haven for quality wrt the overall area. Room and restaurants ...the breakfast cafe and the bock very good. 20 minute walk to Danube but good strolling through the inner pest residential areas with their ruin pubs etc. have breakfast at callas as you walk down to gerbaud
