“Front desk service par excellance!!”

from the moment u are met at the airport in the hotel limosine /taxi, until u get to the room you are treated like a star. they really excel treating guests like guests the thermal spa was clean, and the staff very friendly and helpful. urging one to take more tea etc etc. the bar light snacks service and the main breakfast room was not afforded the same stars. one had to physically ask for coffee and wait, and the bar cafe didnt bother to give us napkins with our meal. not something to complain about, but for a five star establishment, yes! we booked the executive room and enjoyed the exclusiveness of it all. something might be done to the variety of snacks served there though!

The Corinthia Hotel is known locally by its former name - the Royale. It has been extensively refurbished and is probably one of the best in Budapest. We were very fortunate to have an upgrade and can only describe the accommodation as first class. The spa/pool area is a delight and service at the hotel is faultless. The location is just to the east of the opera and a thus a little further out than we might have chosen, but not so far as to be a real problem. The tram is right outside the door and taxis are plentiful.

Beautifully appointed hotel with wonderful staff. The pool and spa area was amazing and a real antidote to the rather grim city of Budapest. We felt absolutely spoiled, especially after we discovered the wonderful pastry cafe next door. The breakfast buffet was magnificent - beyond description!

Overall the deal we had with the executive room and the access to the executive area with the lovely food, free drinks and a great breakfast - could not have been beaten. We had been in Berlin two weeks before (during the Ash crisis) how I wish we had been delayed on this visit - so much to see and do - and that''s before you leave the hotel - I can't wait to go back!
