Nice hotel on the island in the Danube river

Pros: The environment of the hotel and its surroundings
Cons: The noise of the air conditioning unit.We turned it off
Location: Budapest is a city that has something to offer most people and is full of history dating back to approx. 850BC
We found it good place to stay and did not get to use all the facilities at the hotel.It was good to walk down through the gardens etc of the island on our way to Budapest city

A welcomed break

Pros: The pools and spa and the quiet of the island.
Cons: Air conditioning in the room did not work all that well.
Location: A little island between the Buda and Pest river banks of Budapest. Relaxation, jogging and nice park areas.
Tired this hotel after a 12 day holiday travelling around Germany and Hungary. We were tired and wanted a rest before the long flight back to Canada. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and large. There was a king sized bed and a sitting area. The room had a balcony on which we could sit, have a few drinks and watch the boats go by.The bed was comfortable and while the colours were a little dated, the bedding and carpet were in very good condition. There was coffee and tea in the room, a mini bar and a safe. The the pool and spa facilities were nice and a welcome break from the heat of the day. Come nightfall we were rested and relaxed. Sadly this rest was ruined as the air conditioning in the room did not work all that well. At night, the room was horribly hot and a sound sleep was difficult. Getting up in the middle of the night and opening the door to the balcony helped a little. I wonder if poor AC is typical at this time of year in Hungary. I say this because poor air conditioning was also the case in the other 2 hotels we stayed at in Hungary. (1 was a 4 star and the other a 41/2 star). The food was over priced for the quality. Parking: 9 euros a night if you used the island outdoor parking (make sure you press the "Hotel" button on the parking ticket dispenser and 20 euros a night if you used the hotel's underground parking. From the parliament area of the city a cab ride cost roughly $10. The car ride to the air took 35 minute

Excellent hotel in beautiful location

Pros: The location, comfort, service, food and the staff.
Location: On Margaret Island in the middle of River Danube . Easy access to all the sights in Budapeat by public transport.
Wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel on Margaret Island in Budapest. Hotel is modern, very comfortable and has 6 swimming pools of different temperature. Spa treatment is also available. Rooms are very comfortable and the staff is amazing.

great hotel on the island

It fully met our expectations: Located on the picturesque island, quiet, clean rooms, a mini-kitchen, word, full of comfort. Especially liked the "bath" - pools with thermal water, which residents of the hotel can enjoy free: go to them every day.

My favourite spa

I stayed in the spa hotel and had a great trip, the rooms are large with balconies and although probably not refurbished for a while, still large and very comfortable. The Spa is fantastic and the reason I come back to Margaret Island, the thermal baths are amazing and a wide range of treatments are available. The setting on the island is very peaceful and beautiful. The staff were all very helpful and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. I have been visiting regularly over the last decade and love staying here
