“"Will be my hotel in the future too"”

The hotel is in a highly desired neighborhood with the best transportation possibilities if you don't rent a car (and nobody needs to in Budapest, in my opinion!). Right front of the hotel is a tram station, a bus station and one stop over with either transportation is the big metro station too. Every 3 minutes you can catch either of them. The cog-wheel station is also at the front of the hotel, which can take tourists to the mountains to hike. The newest and biggest shopping complex, "Mammuth" is walking distance, or 1 stop with transportation. The air-condition doesn't work as efficiently as in the USA, the windows don't have screens on them, but these little things don't mean that you sacrifice anything, it only means that it is different than what you used to. For the location and easy access to transportations I would stay in this hotel on my next trip. And the hotel staff goes out of their way to please you. (Don't use the hotel telephone, it is very expensive!)

Area recommendations
Castle district, Vaci Street, Big Market, Hero's Square, Duna Promanade, Parlament, St. Margaret Island, any of the many Thermal Bath, day tour to Hortobagy, day tour to Szentendre, day tour to Esztergom Basilica & Visegrad Castle. All Budapest sightseeing can be done with public transportation. Hortobagy tour with horse show, dinner, etc. can be reserved with specialty tours. Szentendre and Esztergom with train.
Getting around
If you are 62 years old, all public transportation in Budapest, plus trains from Budapest are free. You still need tickets, but showing your passport and proving your age, you get it for free.

“Not Impressed”

Hotel caters to tours - 7 tour coaches in parking lot when i arrived. breakfast was difficult - no tables, out of food, etc. due to number of people. Would be fine for a tour but as I was alone on a weekend trip, this turned out to be a mistake.

Area recommendations
I would stay on the Peste side next time - many name brand chains that are closer to the interesting sites of the city.

“Great Value, good location”

The location is just outside the main part of town, on the Buda side - 10-15 minutes from town depending on how long you have to wait for the tram and the metro. The hotel is a bit old, but in great condition. The room was large by European standards and the bathroom had a full-sized bathtub-shower which is pretty much unheard of in hotels at this price range in Europe. The staff was friendly, and the value for a decent hotel in the city is unbeatable. There are two downsides: public transit closes down early, and it's a bit too far to walk from the parts of town you'd stay out late in (which tend to be in south Pest), and the wireless internet was *absurdly* expensive.

“Can't wait to go back I even reserved for my best friend there”

The hotel staff were very friendly . Infront of a tram stop where u can go any where. 5 min by tram to buda castle the only problem was u have to wait for more than 30 min in the morning for the elevator so it's a problem when u r in a high floor

“A distance from the city and airport”

This hotel is a distance from the airport and city. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bar on the roof was windy.

“Nice hotel for a limited budget”

I really enjoyed me stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was plentiful, and the hotel itself is about a 10 minute walk to the metro station which gives you access to the rest of the city. My only complaint is the plumbing was kinda weak. When taking a shower the water would either be cold or hot not warm. But other than that I really enjoyed my stay.

Traveler's tip
I would recommend purchasing a hop-on, hop-off bus pass. The tour takes you to all the main attrations and you save huge on having to pay for the metro, taxis, or buses. The tickets are only about 8 euro or 2100HUF per person.

“Not in the center of the city, and not so clean...”

We were expecting a better location hotel, however you can use the bus service to connect to the main highlights of Budapest (Bus no 5)with a transfer time of 20 minutes. The first night we had to ask a complete room cleaning as the bed itched.... Neverthless the staff was very helpful, and if you are in a business trip this could be a good option.
