Satisfactory service for customers

Cons: The hotel MUST provide coffee making facilities in every room in future as that is a standard practice for 95% of Hotels worldwide in my experience
Generally the staff tried to be helpful in all matters

Comfortable Hotel, Close to Public Transit

Posted Jan 10, 2013
Pros: Convenient location, large room
Cons: Hallway was a little noisy
Location: Across from park, down the street from the tram, easy access to major sites
We stayed in this hotel for four nights over Christmas. Our stay was very pleasant and I would both recommend this hotel to others and would happily stay here again on our next trip to Budapest. It is conveniently located across the street from a very nice park and only a half block away from the tram. Our room was large and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Pros: wellness centre and restaurant food at dinner.
Cons: Cold coffee at breakfast, staff not making up room properly for all guests in room on 2 occassions.
Location: On Buda side across from nice park with lovely childrens playground and pond with ducks. Can walk to most locations in less than 35 mins .
Room was small for 3 persons. On 2 of the 4 nights staff only gave us towels for 2 persons and we had to ask at reception on both occassions. Came to check mini bar useage at 9-15 am on 2nd morning. No free wifi apart from in lobby. Free limited breakfast (1 coffee+ 2 croissants) provided coffee cold to luke warm on all 4 days. Restaurant served good quality food. Wellness area was well maintained. Closer to a low 3 star than a 4 star hotel.

Want a short city break? Come here.

Friendly and efficient. Checking in and out was quick and easy as all the staff appear to speak English as well as other langauges. All the amenities are very good and the hotel is well sited for transport. Ideal for a short city break.

Overall I'd give it a 3.5

Pros: Comfy bed and clean room
Cons: No movie options. No free room wifi. Buffet breakfast did not reflect the quality & potential of the hotel.
Location: Links to tram service on Villanyi. Easy walk to mall on Bocskai. Scenic 2mile (3.5k) walk to Gellert Hill and Fisherman's Bastion, Chain Bridge, etc.
Clean and comfy enough. There should be more variety at the breakfast buffet and the contents could have been less stodgy. I'm sure the sausages and bacon bits had been reheated from leftovers the previous day. There were no pay-movie channels as advertised and only three English language channels (News 24, Bloomberg and EuroSport). Plus it was an old analogue tv, not flat screen. There is free wifi in the lobby, but a charge of £10/day (€12) for wifi in your room. No coffee/kettle/percolator in your room. Neutral smelling squeeze soap on the shower wall, but no other cosmetics provided. Reception staff provided an array of adapters when I realised I had forgotten to pack mine. Evening meal was good quality (crispy duck and cherries works {who knew?}). Although deserts were a little bland. Hotel pianist would play recognisable tunes at inexplicably random and unpredictable tempo. Regrettably, I didn't get to use the gym or other leisure facilities, but the equipment looked extensive and well maintained.

Great Price, Great Location and Great Service.

Pros: Clean, friendly staff, piano player in the lounge, great quality for low price.
Cons: Dated room, but I would have been disappointed to have got anything else. Everything in the room function as designed and was clean and comfortable.
Location: All major sited within walking distance (15-25 mins at most).
Excellent hotel. Very friendly staff. Room and bed made daily. Free tea, coffee and croissant for non Breakfast paying guests. Center of Budapest and many sights in easy walking distance. Beautiful park outside the hotel. Even throughout my time (10 days) I struggled to find an alternative hotel that was in a more convenient location or better condition to meet my needs.

Our overall stay was good. We found the mattresses the 3 different times we stayed were very soft and not that comfortable. The showers were not high enough (good if you`re 5ft tall)

Good location which was within easy reach of tram, bus, boat and within 20-25 minutes’ walk from Pest side. A very nice hotel, staff were friendly and helpful. Decor in bedroom was a little dated but by no means uncomfortable. The only downside for me was that there were no tea and coffee facilities for my morning brew. I would only maybe stay there again but this is due to being spoilt by sister hotel Danubius Helia (although this is a little further out than the Flamenco).

Well Done Danubius Hotel Flamenco in Budapest

Posted Oct 13, 2012
We were made very welcome, and even given a surprise bottle of bubbly in the room as it happened to be my birthday! Indoor pool an added bonus, not very large but more than adequate for a lot of 10m. lengths if you picked you time. Free continental breakfast was quite sufficient for us; more could be purchased if required. We bought dinner which was excellent, but we had to queue for a while as the hotel was busy with a conference. Good nearby tram service into central Budapest. All in all and excellent 2 days at a very reasonable cost.

Affordable Class

Posted Sep 22, 2012
Pros: The restaurant and kitchen, super service
Cons: Pool not easily accessible for older clients.
Location: Near the pond called Feneketlen To, that is the "Bottomless Pond "
Generally top notch to middle class clients, business travelers, senior tourists. Comfortable beds, good housekeeping service. Safe for valuables in the room. Windows that open, and AC. Continue to prefer this hotel for its ease in using public transit, near a park for running or strolling and generally away from really noisy trams and traffic. A block away from Catholic cathedral; two blocks from McDonalds if that is important to you. A really excellent kitchen- good food, well prepared, excellent bar and table service. Lots of good wines. Executive level bookings give you better rooms and a top club buffet breakfast room, separate from bus tour types. Very good choice, personal service, such as ordering specific egg dishes not out on display and cappuccino to order. Free Wireless service available in all lobby areas. Purchased Wireless available for in the rooms. Complete business center. Everybody speaks at least 2 languages.
