Good location and room quality; terrible servicePosted Sep 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was nice, good value, and the location was super close to restaurants. However the service was terrible; room keepers entered without knocking, the check in counter attendants were rude and unhelpful and the waiters a bit rude. Breakfast was ok, not great but not terrible.

My trip to BudapestPosted Aug 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel is dated, carpets stained and in bad shape, TV sets old CRT type and small, remote control did not work properly, bathrooms small and very, very old, fixtures leave a lot to be desired. The Free breakfast is a joke, do not waist your time go somewhere else. Front desk very friendly. Free Wifi is a nice perk. Hotel location is good close to metro, restaurants and shops (just two block away the famous Váci utca (Vaci Sreet) has good shopping and restaurants. Just outside the hotel make a right on the street about a block there are some good restaurants at very reasonable prices and great food. I do not recommend this hotel.

Excellent locationPosted Aug 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
We spend one night at this Hotel. It was at great location in walking distance to many places, Close to variety of resturant and shopping area. price was fair. I wish they had coffee maker in the room. staff were very helpfull and courtious. I booked two rooms and they were clean. they can arrange shuttle bus to airport with reasonable price ($12 per person) and they do a very good job. You can exchange currency at Hotel if you needed. Hotel is located at very safe area. I read a comment with complain about the staff and made me to be very causious BUT after satying there I have to say that I am absolutly disagree with that coment as I amd my family had completely opposite experience.

Great location.Posted Jul 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is modern and in reasonably good condition. It was clean, but fairly cramped for 2 adult visitors and 2 large suitcases. Bathroom clean and functional. Good value for the money. However, we found the attitudes of the staff unfriendly and cold. They refused to help us with our train reservations, insisting that we needed to go to the train station if we needed any information. WiFi only available in the lobby and was intermittent and often difficult to login.

Dear Brian H, Thank you for taking the time to share your review on Hotels.com. We are pleased to read that you were satisfied with the location and condition of the hotel. Actually we have larger room as well. In case you asked the concierge is always ready regarding your train reservation. Technically is unable to arrange train reservation in some Danubius Hotels were in an Business Center. It can be made by via internet. We do have some technical problems to log int o the wifi. The company who runs the system is an outside contractor. We do hope we would welcome you soon in our Hotel again! Best wishes, Dora Homola Sales Representative

Just right!Posted Jul 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed here for an extended weekend trip to attend a friend's wedding at St. Stephen's Basilica. The hotel staff is very helpful and courteous. The lobby has free WiFi, which worked great. It was very hot weather during our stay there, and the a/c in the rooms did the trick. We slept comfortably. We had a double room, which was perfect for two people. A family would need a larger space. The hotel location is great. It's close to the M3 Metro line which connects you to a lot of sights, but it's close enough to also walk. We suggest visiting the Hungarian market, but buyer beware when buying gifts (prices are set for tourists). The food area is great to sample traditional Hungarian feasts. The hotel offers a breakfast, but we didn't choose it because we like to get out to see the sights. So, we can't comment as to the quality, but it looked and smelled good. There's a great cafe not too far away with great prices, called Jegbufe. Breakfast was 2 cappuccinos and 2 pastries for very reasonable price. A great lunch or dinner location is just the opposite direction, called Vendiak. Great service with indoor/outdoor seating. We would stay at this hotel again!
