Great place for a family or friends in the centre.Posted Aug 30, 2012
Great place, great location, nice and clean. We didn't get to the flat till 11.30pm and the owner was there waiting for us outside where the taxi dropped us off to take us to the flat and show us around which we thought was a nice touch. Although in a central location doesn't feel like it when in the flat as it very quite. Great for a family with young children or a group of friends.

There are lots of reviews for this apartment . All are excellent and we were not disappointed. Tomas e-mailed before we left UK to ask if we would like him to arrange a taxi to collect us from the airport, as first time visitors we found this very helpful and also took up the offer of the return journey. On arrival Tomas greeted us and orientated us with regard to the apartment and Budapest. The apartment is large, airy and welcoming. The building is 120yrs old and has a rather scary looking but reliable lift to the apartment on the 4th floor. As a wuss when it comes to down stuff I found walking around the balcony to the apartment a bit daunting; the building is built around a quad. The location is excellent and we found everything in easy walking distance including all forms of transport. Great Market for fresh food, snacks and Tokjai wine. We loved Budapest and were pleasantly suprised to find that English was widely spoken.Traveller cheques can be exchanged at the OTP Bank a short walk away on Kalvin Ter, better rate there than pre-booked monies at the airport. Vaci is a typical tourist street and getting down the side streets is far more interesting and cheaper for food and drink. Szentendre boat trip is ok but spending 5hrs there a bit too long; better to return by bus. So much to see and do in Budapest!
