Mixed feelingsPosted Mar 31, 2008 on Hotels.com
We spent 5 nights at the Holiday Beach Wellness In Budapest in March 2008. It left us with a bit of mixed feelings. We were greeted to the hotel and the guy in reception was marvellous. The location is lousy, it's far from the city and there is nothing to see around the hotel within a reasonable distance. Service in the restaurant was quite arrogant and the service staff don't have a clue what they're serving. Room is very nice and clean, but the beds are lousy and the air conditioning makes a massive humming sound during the night. It can be switched off though, so... Gym was nice, high quality equipment, and the beaty parlor seems to do it's job well enough. Anyway, not worth the trouble to go back.

Hotel LocationPosted Apr 18, 2007
If you are traveling to Budapest for the purpose of sightseeing in the city, this hotel is a significant distance from the center city and is accessible only by taxi (expensive and the listed address for the hotel confused the driver with another street by the same name near to the city) or by bus, then a tram, and then by the subway system. It worked out, but was not as convienent as anticipated.
