3 day stay. First time in the city. We loved the location close to most of the major attractions. The staff were very helpful. Buffet breakfast was lovely with a large selection. The evening meals were also good and reasonably priced

Nice place to stay.Posted Nov 7, 2013
Pros: I liked the location of the hotel and it was clean. Also the hotel staff were very nice.
Cons: Because there is no coffee maker in the room they should have coffee available earlier than 11am in the lobby.
Location: Good location, walking distance to the Castle Museum and Matyas Church. Good public transportation nearby to go anywhere in Budapest.
The room was too small. Other than that I liked being there.

Very well positioned for touring BudapestPosted Nov 1, 2013
Pros: Quiet situation, friendly and efficient staff. Receptionists multi lingual.
Cons: Milk in rooms for British tourists for tea and coffee.
Location: This hotel is well positioned for the popular castle district and is within walking distance of the Chain Bridge.
Four of us stayed at Hotel Castle Garden for four nights and had a great time. Apart from Saturday night there was no noise in the nearby streets and the beds were very comfortable. We did not have any meals there so walked into the castle area for breakfast each day. Our stay was over the October half term holiday and we spent every morning eating outside in the sunshine!! We also found it cheaper to buy the daily 'group' transport ticket for getting around as opposed to the expensive tourist passes. A number 16 bus gets you from the Chain Bridge to the hotel. Great city break and a great place for a hotel stay.

This place is fantastic for several reasons!Posted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: Staff, location, food.
Cons: Rugs were a little dirty.
We were greeted by Ibolya who helped us get orientated and provided us with a welcome drink. The champagne was great after a day on trains! The location to the Fisherman's Bastion, St Matyyas Church and the Royal Palace (houses the National Gallery) made for easy walks. For more enthusiastic walkers it was delightful to walk over the Chain Bridge to Parliament, the Jewish Synagogue and St Stephen's Basilica. We opted to use the hop on, hop off bus to learn about the city and visit Hero's Square, the Central Market as well as the Vajdahunyad Castle (those interested in architecture need to make this stop a must). The attached restaurant, Riso, was so amazingly good that we ate dinner there each evening and were not disappointed with soups, salads, Hungarian goulash, pasta and chicken dishes. Thanks to reviewers at Trip Advisor we stayed here and cannot imagine at better location, staff or meals for the price!

Rooms could use an alarm clock. FYI, in Europe many places do not provide face cloths.
