thoroughly satisfied.Posted Aug 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were just flying out of Budapest, so the location near the airport was great - however this is not a hotel to see the city from. The shuttle service to the airport was timely. What requests we made of the hotel staff were responded to promptly and satisfactorily. We were pleased to find the room had AC, and traveling through central Europe with temps over 90F for the previous 2 weeks we had not encountered AC at all. And there is a shopping mall complete with large Tesco immediately kitty corner to the hotel, so whatever you might need to purchase is likely readily available. The bathrooms are shared and the person sharing ours was a bit sloppy with the water and left his used shampoo packets in the shower, but that's hardly the hotel's fault and other than that we had zero complaints.

We had a pleasant stay, good rest.Posted Apr 13, 2013
Pros: It was quiet with friendly staff. They even cared to put a lovely Easter decoration out in the reception!
Cons: Too flat cushions!
Location: Location is great either for the flights, travels, or just visit the city!
I have spent two nights in this hotel in two different occasions, but I would definitely return again, and recommend it to anyone! It is really close to the Airport and the reception can arrange a convenient transfer to any flight. Reception open 24 Hours! The underground station is very near so it is never a problem to reach the inner city. There is also a big shopping centre in easy walking distance and few groceries, restaurants. The rooms, bathrooms was really clean, tidy, the staff friendly, helpful and understanding. There is a safe and fridge in the rooms, too. Our problem was only the too flat cushions. The hotel also dog friendly! I have read some negative comments about the place previously, but you really don't have to believe them. We enjoyed our stay.

Cheap accommodation in convenient location.Posted Apr 5, 2013
Pros: Very helpful staff.
Cons: Poor quality of breakfast, very weak wifi signal in the room.
Location: Located just 20 minutes by subway from the city center, close to the airport.
Cheap hotel for travellers who want to spend all days out and just come back for the night. Very nice, helpful and smiling staff. The room was not cosy but really clean. Poor wifi signal in the room. Quality of breakfast was below expectations. Almost no international channels on TV. However, for the very cheap rate I paid and taking into consideration that we were spending all days out, it was fine.

Good: Location (across road from last metro before airport), cleanness, quickness of check in. Bad: Having to pay for tea / coffee (none in room) and surrounding area is a little lifeless

Great value hotelPosted Dec 3, 2012
Pros: Fresh baked bread for breakfast every morning
Cons: Dodgy surrounding neighborhood
Location: Very far from city center, but metro is literally across the street
Great little hotel. It's quite far outside the city, but the metro stop is literally across the street. But the hotel is clean, and there is fresh bread for breakfast every morning. The only downfall is the surrounding neighborhood; it's a bit dodgy, and I wouldn't recommend hanging around too late at night. However, the price is right for what you're getting.

Convieniently situated for Metro for onward journey to Nepliget Bus Station. Stayed 3 times now and found service very good. Clean and comfortable but front rooms noisy from traffic. Breakfast adequate but somewhat bland. Hot food not replaced regularly so cold bacon and srambled eggs. Overall value for money though.

ValuePosted Oct 4, 2012 on Hotels.com
The hotel Chesscom offers excellent value for money. While the hotel is basic enough the rooms are clean and comfortable. Hot and cold breakfast thrown in - at the price you cant go wrong. Perfect location for transport, I cannot fault this hotel for its price range.

Convenient away from hustle and bustle of town.Posted Sep 26, 2012
Convenient location between airport and center of town. Right next to big new shopping mall and public transport hub. Hotel is ok. Staff is friendly. I was on the top floor and it had a skylight. The fresh air was good until the guest started smoking. There was smoking in the lobby, too. And the stray neighborhood dogs bark at each other in the middle of the night. Closing the skylight helped. For a room of this caliber, I was surprised to find a room safe large enought to fit my 17" notebook computer. I liked the location despite the distractions. There is a grocery store called Tesco which reminds me of a Walmart next to the mall.

Overnight stayPosted Jun 1, 2012
We just stayed at this hotel overnight between flights. It is small hotel not far from airport and right next to metro station. For our purposes location was good. Staff is helpful and tries their best to help you. Room was ok with common washroom for 2 rooms. But for overnight stay it didn't matter for that kind of money.
