“4 star hotel for 3 star price”

This hotel was the best vacation find we've ever come across. It is up in the beautiful Buda hills, just a 20 minute bus ride from downtown Buda and the metro. The hotel is really a 4-star which we managed to get at an exceptionally low price through expedia. My husband and I were in Hungary on business and then stayed a bit longer for some pleasure and we would definitely come back again and again to Hotel Normafa. The area is beautifully lush, surrounded by a lovely forested park and a tremendous view of the city. The hotel is clean and welcoming -- very charming Alpine style. The pool is a great as is the work out room. The restaurant was very good for a couple nights when we didn't want to head back into the city center for dinner. Free internet access, friendly and helpful desk staff, comfy room, good free breakfast...we couldn't have asked for more. We will most definitely return to this lovely hotel.

“Excellent hotel”

This hotel was very well placed for us - just outside were wonderful forest trails, yet the city was only 15mins on a very regular bus service. We were unfortunate to have a few mishaps during our stay including our bags not arriving, but the staff were excellent and did all they could to help us. The size of the hotel meant it never felt too busy - I would definately go back.

“A really cool hotel”

This hotel was a helpful and comfortable respite from the summer heat of Budapest, its location in the hills was a real bonus and the travelling to the city was easy. We stayed six nights - dinners were OK but we did eat out for more variety.

“Fantastic Hotel in Buda Hills”

Fantastic hotel set in beautiful peaceful surroundings up in the Buda Hills. Great buffet breakfast on veranda overlooking heated swimming pool. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Euro 2008 Football Championship was on every night and we would regularly chat with them about the latest game. Easy bus ride into Moscow Square with public transport connections to the rest of the city centre. Budapest is a brilliant city and we can't wait to return to the Hotel Normafa.

“The Best of Both Worlds”

Because this hotel is situated in the Buda Hills it offers clean fresh air and beautiful walks on its doorstep whilst at the same time being only a 15min ride by bus or taxi from the beautiful and bustling city of Budapest. It has a lovely heated swimming pool and a relaxing atmosphere following a 'hard' day's sight seeing! It provides the best of 'both worlds' and made our week long break feel like a two centre holiday without the inconvenoence of changing either venue or location!

“Hotel - great, Location - marginal”

Was really pleased to see that the hotel lived up to its reviews. The staff was very helpful and patient no matter what you asked. The breakfast that is included is really outstanding (cooked to order) or buffet. The restaurant was very very nice - overall a great stay. The only drawback for this hotel is the location. It is far from downtown and you either need a car or take public transportation so keep that in mind when selecting.

“Most relaxing hotel”

I have stayed in many hotels in many countries, and without a doubt, this was one of the best. The desk staff gave specific directions on using the buses, metros, and trams to get around. The bus stop was across the street. The hotel is rather far from the city and airport, but that was not a problem when using public transporation. The breakfast was wonderful with a variety of choices.

“Will always stay at Normafa hotel”

Location is in upscale residential neightborhood with great city views. Short easy bus trip to downtown and all metro connections. All the staff is exceptionally nice, from reception to restaurants. Rooms are more than adequate, but noone goes there to sit in their rooms. The pool is very nice, warm and sparkling clear, as well as exercise facilities. Both restaurants are excellent, and the breakfasts are exceptional. What else would you want?

“Lovely Hotel”

lovley hotel, extremley helpfull staff that spoke very good english. The breakfast are excellent with buffet style menu cearal, breads cheese, meats etc and a hot menu, bacon,eggs etc cooked to order all included in room price. great swinning pool always with an attendant at hand so very safe for kids.

Hotel offered fantastic service Dorothy on reception can't do enoughr for the guests and the management were all very freindly and amenable. The two restaurants were also staffed by very attentive friendly but unobtrusive waiters, with a great Hungarian and internatioanl menu prrpared to a very high standard. Would recommend it to anyone without hestitation.
