Hotel near metrostation and river Danube

Posted Feb 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is located just between river Danube and a metrostation. Near hotel are many shops and reutaurans. In next house to hotel money exchange office gave the best currency rate which we saw in whole city and in the same block was 7/24 open grocery. Tram line goes just in front of hotel. The hotel has two lowest floors in ordinary one hundred years old apartment house. The hotel room was basic with a little bit shabby furniture. There was old window frames in the room which made feel a little bit cold when outside was minus degrees in winter. The room has aircondition but not sure if it is working because there wasn't need for it in winter. Bathroom was renoved and its condition was excellent with hair dryer installed. Due to low season the breakfast was not fully and only some cold disches was served. Hotels english speaking stuff was very professional.

Lovely comfortable good location

Posted Jul 28, 2012
Pros: Elegant, price, location
Cons: "Free" wireless is only for a single log-on with one device for 90 minutes- Otherwise charges add up
Location: Google maps wrong walking directions. Actually well located 5 mins walk from train and bus station.
Beautifully done - marble floors, new bathroom fixtures, good breakfast. A super alternative to Venice itself. If you are walking from the train station don't follow google maps- it doesn't know about the walkway that goes directly from the south end of the train tracks- down the stairs, turn right and it's a 5 minute walk. (going the othe way is a direct walk to downtown Mestre)

Good Value

If value and location are your goal, and you do not need a lift (elevator) or a hot breakfast, this is a very good choice.

I'll prefer a better location and elevator!

Posted May 11, 2011 on Hotels.com
Staff, rooms, bathrooms, breakfast and location are acceptable, particularly considering the budget price. However, everything is rather low-sided. There is no elevator, but many flights of stairs to reach the rooms! Sex-shop next door and across the street. To see the attractions, you'll need to take a tram (in front of the hotel) or the metro (two blocks from it). My next time in Budapest, I'd search for a hotel near Castle Hill (main attraction), Deak Square (downtown) or Deli train station, so saving me time and money in transport.
