“Great hotel in a good location”

Great hotel right next to Heroes Square and the park behind it. It is a bit far from the other points of interest especially on the Buda side. However there is a metro station nearby which solves the problem. The hotel itself is nice and clean with decent sized rooms. My family and I would definitely stay again there - thumbs up for the hotel.

“Budapest in the cold”

Really enjoyed the hotel. Great location just a block from Heroes Square and the Metro. Great restaurant very close recommended by the friendly front desk staff. I stayed there in 2006 and this time was just as nice. The breakfast buffet is just ok. Free internet is always a plus. Clean and comfortable.

“my problem with breakfast.”

I found that the staff were polite when approached but did not offer extra information. i.e. they live in Budapest if you ask a question about sights to see, their replies were not robust so you were left as a foreigner not knowing what to ask and only getting half the information when one more sentence might have opened it all up.... Also I wanted a light breakfast each day and what was available was a 2600 forint buffet. all I wanted was fruit coffee and oatmeal. there should be a way to go down have a light breakfast ala carte.for half that amount. It would be too easy to have breakfast as you want it, to refuse. But too much is too much. so I went to the cafe's till I found one that had a reasonably healthy breakfast at a reasonable price. I asked if they had a menu, and the simply told me it was a buffet. I have traveled a lot and you are missing an opportunity. You should want as many guests as possible to eat and you should offer three or four sizes of breakfast at three or four prices.

“My non-smoking room stunk”

The hotel location was very convenient for the conference that I attended and it is an IBIS. I didn't have great expectations. However, I got a non-smoking room that had the windows open, but still smelled like someone had had a party there. The smell didn't go away for two days. Also, the second day there was no hot water. But they offered free breakfast to compensate for that.
