“Incredible location! At foot of Chain Bridge.”

Great people. Near everything. Left my camera on the sightseeing bus and they had it back in my hands in less than an hour! That was a miracle! A free trolley runs along the river and the hotel, if you are over 55. Goes to Margaret's Island and to the Great Market Hall in the other direction. Would not stay anywhere else!! It was in walking distance of so many things. Had a great stay!!!

This is a great hotel, located right in the middle of the more touristics attractions. It's only few blocks from the subway, so has a very easy access. The hotel staff are very kind. The hotel has a nice pool, sauna and steam to relax. If you stay in a room facing the river, the room will be beautiful, spacious, with an amazing view. The rooms facing the city only looks at the building next door. So pay attention to that.

“Simply the best”

Located on prime site overlooking the castle and chain bridge. First class hotel and very comfortable rooms. Highly recommend you choose a river view for a picture postcard scene. Breathtaking at daytime and stunning in the evening! Wife delighted with the beauty products in the bathroom! Couldn't fault it. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else should we return in the future.

“Brilliant hotel, brilliant staff, brilliant location”

Everything about hotel was lovely! Large, clean rooms with all amenities. Brilliant concierge service, very knowledgable and keen to suggest activities. Location is spot on, tram stop right outside if you want to go to the other end of town otherwise everything is within easy walking distance. It takes 1min to walk to the Chain Bridge and from there its a very easy walk across the bridge to the funicular to get to the Castle District. I would reccommend the Airport Shuttle for airport transfers its cheap and a lot more convenient than public transport. You can book it once you get off the plane, we only had to wait 5mins to get picked up at the airport. Lovely place for short break and the Intercontinental is an excellent hotel to base yourself in.

“Incredible hotel, perfect for a romantic city break”

I cannot recommend this hotel more highly. The staff were consistently attentive and the concierge remarkably helpful in giving advice on what to see in the city - we had already done our research on the city but this type of local advice is always welcome. For example, having realised it was my fiance's birthday, the front desk sent up a birthday cake to our room - that level of service is what guests can expect. The location is very convenient to those on a city break, wanting to maximise their experiences in Budapest. We had also been looking into the Corinthea/Boscolo hotels but are so glad we chose the InterContinental because of its superior location, in addition to its understated elegance. Our room was very well appointed. The hotel's recent refurbishment ensured that all furniture was relatively new and in a very good condition. This hotel is a gem, aboslutely deserving of its 5 star status.

This simply is a fantastic hotel!! Breakfast is expensive though but eating Bacon and Eggs with a view of The Danube it could possibly be worth it once!

From the moment we were met at the airport to the moment we checked out the service we received surpassed all expectations. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would particularly recommend booking a river view room. When I told the hotel that we were there celebrating my husband's 40th birthday they generously gave him a gift which was incredibly thoughtful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
