Pros: Everything. Could not ask for more.
Cons: Cannot thing of anything.
Location: Near the chain bridge, close to transportation, next door to many restaurants including the famous Gerbeau cafe.
First vist to Budapest. The hotel location, services, staff and facilities made this a memorable stay.

Base for Ironman BudapestPosted Aug 27, 2014
Top quality hotel at a very reasonable price. Superb central location (used as base for 70.3 Ironman Budapest). Hot chocolate & cake in the Living Room simply devine.

Good HotelPosted Aug 27, 2014
Cons: No tea and coffee facilities in the deluxe room. A kettle was requested but nothing else except kettle and cups was then provided.
Location: Good location for bus and metro, also a good location for the main shopping street and cafés.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good spa area. Nice rooms. Blue Fox bar is excellent and the Living Room area was good. Breakfast is very over priced though. We used the hotel car transfer service which was expensive but also excellent and definitely worth a hassle free journey from the airport in luxury.

Beautiful hotel great locationPosted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: The proximity to everything on the Pest side was what I liked best about the Kempinski.
Location: Please see above under "Tell us about your experience" where I gave details about the location.
The hotel is beautiful. Our room, a handicapped accessible room for me, was perfect! Large, roll-in shower met my needs. The location of the hotel was great! Ten minute walk to the Chain Bridge. Even less of a walk to good restaurants and shopping. A huge ferris wheel directly across the street! A city bus (I forgot the number of the bus line) is a half-block away which took us from the Buda castle back to the hotel. The Parliament is only a 20 minute walk. We did not elect to have breakfasts at the hotel due to the cost but found many places to enjoy breakfast 5 minutes from the hotel. The hotel also has a pool, spa and exercise facilities.

Kempinski Budapest never fails to impress me.Posted Aug 24, 2014
Cons: Staff speaks excellent English. That being said their level of German needs improvement.
Location: Born and raised in Budapest and as a former licensed tour guide in the 60s, I could talk to for hours about this.
I have stayed at the Kempinski Budapest numerous times throughout the years. Frankly, the hotel never fails to impress me. Its staff, service, rooms and facilities are such that each time I return to Budapest - city of my place of birth where I grew up - from Canada where I live for many years, the hotel fully delivers it all and more. I had the same experience in the Kempinski in Buenos Aires in Argentina or elsewhere globally. Bravo, Kempinski! Keep it up! Janos Bergman, Richmond BC Canada

From the moment we arrived the service was excellent. Lovely room and bathroom - small but well equipped gym and spa - great staff and menu in the restaurants.

Park side noisy when festivals are on!Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: Room and amenities were lovely.
Cons: Front desk staff could be more courteous.
We had reserved (and paid for) a room with 2 queen size beds but arrived quite late and were given a room with a king and a pull our sofa (which had an inch thick mattress) because our room had been reassigned to someone else. They also put us on a lower floor and offered no compensation ( i.e. a complimentary breakfast) in lieu of providing what we had paid for. The next day, when it was mentioned upon check out, they told us they had no such rooms in the hotel (which was a blatant lie) and offered us 2 juices/ refreshments for our "trouble". The hotel itself is beautiful, location is lovely but the staff needs some customer service coaching!

Great location, excellent servicePosted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Great service, top quality food, fast WiFi, good security, polite and courteous staff. Walking distance to just about everything in Budapest centre.
Cons: Better lighting at the desk in the room, more outlets for the desk. Operable windows should do a better job keeping out street noise.
Excellent service from staff from the moment I arrived at their doorstep to the moment I left. The hotel is first class with the quality that I expect from a Kempinski Hotel. The ES Bistro was really great with evening entertainment on the patio - lots of fun! The room was very nice, clean and spacious with VERY comfortable beds and linens. I just wish I could have slept in a little longer, but the noise from the renovations from a building across the promenade came in through the closed windows - one of the operable windows would just not seal tightly. The quality of the breakfasts buffets were top quality - it was an event in itself. The concierge was also very helpful to get a ticket for the tour of the Parliament. The whole experience contributed to a very memorable stay in Budapest. I would certainly come here again.

Budapest City Centre HotelPosted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: The Hotel was in the City Centre within walking distance to all amenities.
Cons: Bigger swimming pool.
Location: Everything you would need is close by.
Enjoyed my stay at the Kempinski Hotel, stayed there for Hungarian F1 Gran Prix, within walking distance to all amenities. The room I stayed in was at the back 9th floor, quiet at night, not much of a view. The room was a good size with King size bed. Bit pricey to eat and drink at the hotel. The Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.
