“Great location”

The King's Hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to public transportation and numerous restaurants, coffee houses, supermarkets, and the historical center of Pest. HIghly recommended for somebody who wants to explore Budapest and be close to everything.

“Good quality for a small price”

I spent 4 days (3nights) at the King's during the All Saints weekend 2009. Very well located (quiet neighbourhood in the heart of Pest, close to the biggest synagogue of Western Europe and close to public transport). Small but very clean room (fresh towels every day, even if you don't ask for it and if you want to sleep in, they still come to clean the room in the afternoon) with free safe and fridge; most channels on the TV are Hungarian, but who needs a telly in Budapest? Friendly and competent reception staff. Good variety at the hot and cold breakfast buffet; only the socalled 'fruit juice' and the coffee could be better. For the price I paid, I would definitely go back to the King's. Through Expedia, I paid about half the price for a single room (double bed), breakfast and all taxes included compared to what walk-ins had to pay for the same room...

“Good value. Pleasant location.”

We spent four nights at the King's Hotel which is in the Jewish Quarter of Budapest. The synagogue is about five minutes' walk away. No steps to get to reception. The helpful staff stored my mother's wheelchair in a room on the ground floor. A tiny lift took us to our room on the second floor. Quite small but it had a bath. Flaking paint on the windowsill, but it was clean. Excellent breakfast. You can get around Budapest quickly and cheaply by Metro, bus or tram. Citizens of EC countries who are over 65 get free travel (with proof of age). The funicular railway seemed expensive for the short journey to the old town. There are regular buses to the Cathedral, which run from the Moskowva tram terminus.

“Good budget hotel in Budapes”

This was my first trip to Budapest and I wanted a dependable, inexpensive hotel. GOOD THINGS: convenient location, close to all public transportation. Also convenient to walk almost everywhere I wanted. Very helpful staff, if a bit reserved (typical in Central European countries). Clean room and bathroom. Free high-speed internet available. Very close to Shalimar, the best Indian restaurant in Budapest, apparently. POOR THINGS: awful coffee at breakfast, and a mediocre European breakfast in general. OVERALL: Consider staying here if you're on a budget....

“Great value, and well located place to stay in Budapest”

King's Hotel is in a great central location. Rooms are extremely clean, and have an air conditioner which was a must in the Budapest summer. Includes breakfast, but you need to get there early to enjoy the best of the cooked breakfast. Wifi is included and makes it a very good value package. Will be recommending to my friends.

the location of the hotel is a little off the beaten track and in a run down area. the hotel is freindly and clean. beverages at breakfast were poor.
