“I would definitely return terrific luxury hotel - but charging for wireless internet is a bit cheap.”

From the minute we dropped onto the bed to recover from a long flight, I knew this was a luxurious hotel. The room and the bathroom were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully appointed, as you would expect for the price. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location was convenient for sightseeing as we were able to walk to most sites or take the Metro from the square outside the front door. The breakfast is very good, but more reasonably priced breakfasts are available in the squares around the corner. My only negative comment is that Le Meridien was the most expensive hotel on our 5-week trip of Eastern Europe and the only one to charge extra for wireless internet.

“An Overall Pleasant Experience at a very good Value”

I could not have asked for more. The interior is magnificent, more like a museum, staff very courteous and fluent in English and location is at a stone throws of the Castle district all at a good price.

“Well located luxury in Budapest”

This hotel has outstanding service with bellman at the ready and all the staff at the desk ready to help you with your every need. There is a wonderful Coffee Heaven just around the corner and a good exchange for currency behind the hotel next door. There are excellent restaurants Dio and Mokka just across the square. The Hop On Hop Off buses start in front of the hotel.

“A great hotel in a great location!”

The hotel has very nice accommodations and a staff that was courteous and helpful. It was located in the heart of a restaurant and shopping square which also had crafts booths, tasty food booths and local wines. We were able to walk to all the sites. We were very pleased with our whole Expedia experience from the booking to the hotel.

“Up there with the best”

Earlier in the year we had stayed in three of the most famous independent hotels in the world. Le Meridien Budapest was, unexpectedly, of similar quality. Service at senior level (concierge, maitre d) was similar to the best but junior staff were generally prompter, friendlier and spoke better English than elsewhere. The restaurant did not aim as high as some but served meals showcasing the superb Hungarian raw materials (e.g. duck, pork, preserved fruits). At the excellent brunch, it offered free Hungarian sparkling wine rather than over-priced champagne. The room was impeccable with a wide range of TV channels and free ADSL (plus a warning of charges if we used the alternative WIFI). Perhaps the best experience we have ever had at a "chain" hotel.

“Love everytihng about it.”

I usually stay at this hotel if the price is right. It is definitely a Luxury Hotel. Rooms are beautifully decorated and are spacious too. Everything is done in style. I find people at the reception could be distant at times but you get used to this quickly. I also rarely had to deal with them except during check-in and check-out.
