“Excellent hotel near the centre of Buda”

We highly recommend this hotel. We got a "hot deal" booking, which was excellent value for money, as was the breakfast deal, offered on arrival. The room was fine, large enough, very clean, with a good air conditioning system - an absolute necessity for the mid-August hot weather in Budapest. The breakfasts were amazing: huge choice, and plenty of everything. The bar area was an attractive place to sit and have a coffee in the morning, and a drink in the evening. All staff were always very pleasant and helpful as were the locals when we asked for help or directions. The hotel itself is very close to a Metro terminus, a railway station and tram stops (numbers 18, 56 and also 59). This makes the hotel within easy reach of all parts of Budapest. The Royal Palace and Chain Bridge are also closer than you realise - merely a 15 minute walk down the road.

“Great Hotel”

This was a great hotel with a great price. Many major attractions were withing walking distance of the hotel. It was well maintained and the staff were all helpful and friendly.

Excellent hotel with great service. Rooms were clean, comfortable and good value. Located close to the castle and near local transportation routes this hotel is great for those looking to experience Budapest at their own pace and away from the noise of the city centre. Despite this it is easy to walk into the city.

better than expected value for money. we were on 8th floor was very nice as was food in restaurant. maybe could do with more hot choices at breakfast but was good otherwise.

2 mins from metro to get anywhere same for railway staff are fantastic cant do enough for you can go swimming up to ten at night room service to midnight.1 min walk to supermarketand shops

“Very enjoyable visit”

Hotel very good and all staff were extremely helpful. Would stay their again certainly. It was positioned a light way up the hill from the river but not a problem if you like walking, like us. Tram stops outside too.

don't be put off by hotel facade facilities are very good, bar is excellent and the food is nice & good value! ask for roopm on 7th or 8th floor with a castle view!

“Wonderful Buda Alternative”

Hotel is in a great location being near the metro/train station and a super market. The park out front was great for running/walking in the mornings. We found a few fabulous restaurants and cafes nearby. And, it was a great walk up to the top of castle hill with spectacular views. The hotel itself was nice, the rooms a bit smaller than what we Americans are used to, but we just slept there, so not a problem. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend this hotel!!

“Mercure Budapest”

Very satisfied with this hotel. Quite central location, but not much within walking distance in terms of places to eat. You need to travel a few stops on the metro to find such places.
