good pubic transfer from airport to hotel

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: have coffee maker, but then it is a 4* hotel!!
Cons: Air con,new towels and more English speaking tv channels.
Location: very closed to metro station ,a lot of places for eating out .there a grocery shop closed by too
don't think this is a 4* hotel .Rooms looking a bit tired.booked two room.ours room shower head won't stay up,no coffee maker , but our sons room has!!so house keeping is bad, cleaning is bad too ,they left cleaning sponge behind!you needs to ask for tooth brush in reception .open window even at night because air con not powerful .

Good location.

Pros: Good location.
Stayed 5 nights during the Formula 1 race weekend. Hotel is perfectly located to access Budapest's public transport network with a Metro station 2 minutes walk from the hotel's front door. There are also plenty of restaurants, bars and shops within a few minute walk. Our room was pretty much what you'd expect from a Mercure. Decent size with most of the facilities you'd expect. Efficient and quiet air conditioning. Clean and functional while not exactly exciting or opulent. Staff were helpful, ordering taxis, providing directions to restaurants and city sights etc. Had breakfast on one occassion and it was nice enough, just quite expensive in comparision to the fare on offer in the city's cafes - but tasty, varied and convenient nontheless. All in all, a perfectly adequate base of operations for a short city stay.

Nice clean hotel

Posted Jun 22, 2014
Nice and clean hotel about 10 minute walk to the main city centre and is also located on the Main Street of Budapest that links to the main bridge between buda and pest. Hotel rooms cleaned every day and a very good standard and if you speak to the right member of staff then all your issues are taken care of. Only negative was the free wifi cause every time you did not use your internet for more than 5 minutes, the system would log you out and the hotel should change this, so no log on is required and the servers remember the password. But beside that one thing then all good and highly recommended.

Great Location to explore Budapest,

Posted May 21, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Carpets need cleaning and better quality linen would not break the bank. Room size was not impressive. Tea/Coffe making could be helpful
Location: Almost everything is within walking distance.
Stayed 5 nights in early May 2014, 20 minutes taxi ride from airport with 24 hour reception we checked in around 11PM. Interior decor looks dated, carpets stained and could do with a cleaning, room small hardly any space to turn around, on suit clean and adequate. Bed comfortable for two adults but the split duvet, (two narrow singles on a double bed) was rather flimsy and unusual. Did not try the hotel restaurent as there were plenty of more attractive and cheaper alternatives nearby, quoted 10 euros for berakfast seemed expensive when compared to what is available nearby. On the whole pleasent experience.

Could do with some refurbishment

Posted May 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
Stayed at the Mercure (privilege room) for 2 nights for business. The hotel is reasonably located, however the rooms are starting to show ageing signs: soft mattress, old furniture, bathroom cabinet repaired with masking tape etc ... You get what you pay for, but there are clearly other hotels in Budapest with much higher standard and not a lot more expensive.
