Easy walk to most sightseeing, room is clean.Posted Jul 26, 2014
Room is clean but just with basic decoration. Hotel staff should have more smile on their faces and show more friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is too expensive so we ate outside restaurants. Nothing special, I can rate this hotel as 3 star.

Good hotel in reasonable locationPosted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Clean and comfortable
Location: Close to the impressive New York Cafe and several bars and small restaurants nearby.
We were very impressed with the size of the room and although the road was noisy because it was so hot when we stayed we kept the windows closed and heard very little. Staff very helpful with directions etc. the location is around a 30 minute walk for the river which was no problem as we like to walk. Altogether a very good place to stay for a short break in Budapest.

Very nice hotel and not too far from the centrePosted Jul 7, 2014
Over all the stay was lovely, we did room only, the hotel was lovely, room comfortable staff fairly helpful. We didn't know we had to pay tax because we booked on line, just as well we had money left they should have told us up front!

Short walk to river DanubePosted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Noon booking out time was good for our flight time, as most hotels you usually have to check out by ten. Staff very helpful.
Cons: Special deals at the bar.
Location: Very central. Main sights are walking distance, though we did take the hop on hop off bus to see more of the city.
Hotel very clean and tidy drinks at the bar expensive, free sweets on each floor (just incase you miss breakfast).staff very helpful. Fifteen minute walk to river, bus stop close to hotel.

Wonderful place to stay. Would love to go again.Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: We loved the helpful staff, especially Peter and Richard in the dining room. Elaborate breakfast buffet and dinner was an event. Lovely room.
Cons: Only one English TV channel. Meals somewhat pricey but not outrageous.
Location: Location somewhat seedy but near all kinds of transportation. Many cafes in the area to enjoy a beer and lunch, and watch the crowds go by.
We had a wonderful stay. The facility was beautiful, great architecture, extremely beautiful dining room, spacious bedrooms. We used the hotel as a base for sightseeing and the friendly, helpful staff was knowledgeable about the city and sights. They were able to provide details of places to visit, location of places we were looking for and maps and brochures. Food was wonderful and service in the dining room was excellent. Loved the live piano concert during dinner. They even opened the dining room early for us so we could have breakfast before we left. Everyone spoke English to some degree. We were able to store our luggage when we were away. Masseuse a little over exuberant.

First time in BudapestPosted Jun 15, 2014
Pros: Rooms comfortable and clean, towels changed everyday, had twin bed room, not double but it was surprisingly comfortable.
Cons: Nothing really, good quality hotel for the price.
Location: On a main road so lots of traffic but rooms overlooking the courtyard were quiet but, of course, no view - small price to pay.
A pleasant place to stay, very handy for the Metro and hence accessing all other transport. Hotel confirmed my return transfer to airport without me having to ask, which was a plus and saved me a phone call.

Unexpected high standardsPosted Jun 14, 2014
Pros: overall facilities and helpful staff
Cons: more details of city public transport, routes and nos available to help the sight seeing
Location: Budapest is a city full of history so many amazing buildings , the river, and then moments of reflection as you delve into the history of Hungarians
the hotel provided us with a standard above our expectations. Beautiful dining and reception area. Bedrooms clean and met needs not luxurious but we considered the hotel offered excellent value

beatuiful hotelPosted Jun 14, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, easy access to tourist sites
As retired couple we felt completely relaxed in this hotel, despite being on a busy road the rooms were all quiet. We used the red hop on off bus for two days very successfully, which meant we had a good over view of the city and plenty of time to explore the Castle area and relax on St Margaret's Island. The metro next to the hotel was easy to use.The staff were always helpful. The breakfast was expensive but we had it on the last day as a bunch. A wide menue in a beautiful dining room. There are Tesco food shops in the area to stock up for picnics
