“This hotel is extremely well located”

Aside a stiff piece of bread during a sunday when the hotel was crowded, I've no complaints about this hotel. It's in a walk distance of the great things in Pest, has a CBA store where you can get all things to survive, and special Magyar drinks

“Great location and charming”

The Pilvax Hotel was very nice. It has a terrific location in the center of Pest near Vaci Utca and about three blocks from the Danube River and the Elizabeth Bridge. We stayed there for six days. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and quiet. The staff was helpful. The price is very reasonable for this great location. The room was a bit small, but had a little refrigerator and also air-conditioning. There were shelves for storage. There was a computer available in the lobby for free usage. It is about a block off the street, so you would have to walk a block on a pedestrian street to get there. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend this hotel to others.

This may be a small fairly basic hotel but you could not find a better location for the price. Very convenient for everything and hotel staff extremely helpful.

“Great inexpensive Pest hotel”

Great place to stay for friends/single traveling - not particularly romantic but practical, comfortable, and well-maintained. Central location in Pest.

“Good base”

The location is great. Close to metro and buses and local attactions such as Vaci utca, restaurants, the market, the riverfront, etc. Buffet breakfast was included and it was good. The only problem was that it has no elevator, so if you have a hard time climbing 3 flights of stairs with luggage this place is probably not for you. But we though it was a fantastic location and a good value for the money. Staff was great.

“Boutique charm”

The Pilvax was recommended to us as a small but conveniently located hotel. All this was true and our stay was very pleasant. The hotel staff were very helpful even carying my wife's bag up to our seconf floor room (there is no lift) and the attached restaurant was good value too. Enjoyed the free Internet. Easy walking distance to the main shopping and cafe area. Good value for money!

“"Get Fired Up"”

The Pilvax Hotel is located in heart of Pest. One block from the shopping street Vaci Utca, 2 mins walk to the train station that leads to many places in Buda and Pest. A lovely Irish restuarant with music on Friday nights on the street level, and 6 mins walk to the Danube. The hotel offers complimentary European continental breakfast which is rather tasteful, and the Pilvax restuarant on the first floor offers Hungarian food. Free WiFi in your room and if you don't want to be bother traveling around with your computer you have acess to a computer in the lobby. The rooms are small, comfortable, clean and safe. I had a room facing the street and it was not noisy at all....however, keep in mind if there is a big sport event, the drinking and partying can get noisy on the street level but not all night. The hotel staff are friendly as Hungarian service can be, and be prepared to walk up a few steps with your luggage. This is a great hotel for adults and mature teenagers and the history of the name Pilvax is an interesting story. An extensive list of things to do while in Budapest is readily available at the front desk. I will stay at this hotel again and will suggest it to friend. If the quality and service continues, I believe they will be around for a very long time.

“Would stay again”

Very conveniently located for short stays in this lovely capital. Despite being at the heart of the city there was no traffic noise as it is situated in the pedestrianised zone.

“good budget hotel”

Good budget hotel - Decent sized rooms - Excellent central location - Friendly staff, after day 1 they recognise you and have your key ready - Room has TV - Beds Ok, not fantastic but ok - Breakfast ample..continental style.. - FREE WIFI!! bit slow, but perfect for keeping in touch with the news/email etc negatives - Basic rooms - Needs modernising - Wardrobe a little knackered in our room - Single Glazing , old windows.. Apparently they know about the windows but because they are so old they cant get replacement parts/hinges etc, so they need to replace the entire window (very large windows)... I wouldnt want to stay there in the winter.... Otherwise I can recommend, and if were going to Budapest again I would stay there .
