Studio for two without Sofa
Not so good, Studio apartment, no Sofa, but two double beds (it was supposed there there will be a Sofa). I had to claim because the room was not clean and there were only one 200ml glass in the kitchen, they cleaned the room and brought me glasses, but took two days because of a key problem.

Great location, most flats are nicely done
There was a plumbing problem with the sink, the room smelled like sewage and it took two separate trips on two separate days to get it fixed. Too bad. It kind of ruined our experience in the room. They should have moved us right away or at least asked if we want to move. I stayed with them before and they were fine, not sure what happened this time.

First and last time at Senator Apartments
I had a late arrival, the night shift receptionist was drinking with friends and took 35 min or so to check us in, 20 min to find my reservation - quite reluctant to accept us (she was drunken, slow and bad tempered) Then she had me go away to draw 20000ft to pay cash the service fees (25000ft total) but it turned out that she only needed 5000 and did not see it was prepaid. She was rude and completely out of it. The room had damaged curtains and dirty carpets and marks of dismounted furnitures on the bedroom wall and smelly. Very bad experience.

Paid for a room on line thinking I had a good deal. But when I got there I found out I still had to pay more. My room came with a washing machine that did not spin. So my clothes were soaked. Went to reception was told to bring my clothes down and they would be washed and dry for me to pick up in the morning. Luckily I went down early to pick my clothes up. Was told their not finished yet come back after you go for breakfast . Came back another girl had started her shift and knew nothing. She went to have a look and came back and told me they aren't ready. Told she would call when ready. Waited 2 hours, went down and was not done. So much for checking the sites out in Budapest. Room came with aircon was mentioned when I booked. Could not find control went to reception. Was told it cost more to turn on.Rip off. Don't mention it on your site unless you tell people this. Worst run place I've stayed at ,young man just lied to my face. Do yourself a favour don't do it.

Beware of possible unkown charges
This is an amazing location that puts you in the middle of the action. However, there were unknown fee's at check-in such as a "travelers fee", tax and i also was charged for cancelling a transportion service they provide because my plans changed within 24 hour. They did send me a message prior to arrival informing me not to cancel services within 24 hrs, but it was worded more so like a courtesy and did not state that there would be any penalties charge if i were to cancel within the specfied time frame. I paid it but was highly upset with these surprise charges. Despite this isolated issue, the place was decent amd the location was amazing.

Excellent location in the heart of a restaurant district but very poor staff service and supplies (only one toilet paper roll for 4 nights for 3 people). It's worth notice that the apartment was 5 minutes away walk from the check-in desk so every time we needed to go back to talk to the staff. No hand towels in the apartment and when asked in reception they said they did not have them.

Great location, nice apartment
Newly renovated apartment at a central location close to city center and transport.. Nicely decorated but there were some hicupps with the newly installed TV, washing machine and shower. TV not connected as owners,decided there was no need for it based on one persons feedback who stayed there. Washing machine also did not work and the WIFI reception also wasn't working after a few days at this location. Receptionist staff was helpful and some of the problem was fixed...but not all. Stayed in another of there apartment before and had no problems. Unfortunately there was no way to select which location to stay.

The positive is that it’s a good location. The building was under construction, a lot of dust came in and it is also difficult to find. Unlike advertised, THERE WAS NO air conditioning, and it was 95F outside. The toilet seat was broken, water leaked from shower. Not a god value for about $100 with everything included.

Check-in was very slow. Customer service is very poor. Not helpful .Not welcoming . After reading bad reviews online , I emailed the company to express my concerns and i was assured i was going to be in a brand new apartment, on checkin i was asked to walk in the rain dragging my luggage to another location - offered no umbrella or assistance with bags, there i was shown an older building that is clearly still under renovation on the outside , exactly the building that the bad reviews were talking about . I refused to stay in this building and was then walked another 10 minutes in pouring rain with my luggage to another location again, this apartment was in a nice building and the apartment itself was spacious and had everything i need, very noisy but otherwise it was good . I would not use Senator apartments again .

Beware Senator Apartments - not what they seem!
We booked an executive one bedroom apartment in Senator Apartments in Budapest. The website showed pictures of modern, clean and attractive accommodation in central Budapest. However, beware! The website is not the whole truth. What we were actually sent to was a run down, dump of an apartment in a filthy courtyard, the entrance of which was overflowing with bins. When we finally managed to get in through the door off the street and then get into the apartment as the lock was dodgy, we found ourselves standing in a lime green, orange and purple apartment which looked as if someone had just moved out. Dangerous electrics - see photos and dirty laundry as well as offensive stickers on the fridge and drawers full of some else's rubbish couldn't have been further from an executive apartment if it tried. We complained immediately but there was no alternative. We were moved the next day to an apartment which looked like the picture on the website. The company didn't apologise, didn't give us a refund and the staff treated us as if we were making a complaint for no reason. It was disgraceful, So while we ended up nice apartment after much angry discussion, beware the address Rumbach Sebesteyn utca 7, ground floor 7. It's disgusting and ruined our New Year!

The room service took my stuff from the apartment!
So bad service ! I put my stuff in the apartment and when i go in after my check in.. i notuced that my stuff wasn't there!!! I told them they apologized and offer me a breakfast but i asked for money and they refused and they gave me a piece of paper to sign on it that i can't do anything against them but ofcourse i didn't accept it! I will sue them for this terrible lost! Not clean! There is a lot of noise! I wake up in the late night several times because of the noise around the apartments! They didn't clean the room even if your stay for 1 week! They Didn't change the towels! I don't recommend it at all!! Not safe!!!

The apartment was not clean. The amenities were not ample or clean. The building was in disrepair. The area was over a nightly party scene that carried on through the night and until 0600 every morning. People were urinating in the front hall/lobby door/entrance area. It was disgusting. I will never use this company again.

When you book a room, they did not tell you which location you were going to be in, since they have some buildings. Room was nice and clean, but there were many problems. Bathroom light was off, kitchen cooking stove was not working so that we could not make breakfast. And door knob was almost off and no soup, no shampoo either.

OK for the money but don't expect finesse
These apartments were once probably quite nice but an unfortunate lack of maintenance makes them look a bit shabby. Another unexpected problem arose due to the fact there are one hundred or so balconies all facing in towards a central court yard, all are very close together and because the apartments are non smoking the smokers all sit out on their balconies chuffing their toxic fumes into all the other apartments

Staffs were very inefficient. Checkin process was so long that we had to wait for an hour in front of checkin counter. My 2 months old daughter was hungry and crying the whole time. Staffs didn't care about it. After an hour, when we all were exhausted and desperately wanted to go to our room to feed our daughter, we found out that the room is not in the same building. The staff who took us there used a map to find the room and took long to get there. There was no phone in the room to contact the reception. We stayed there 3 nights and no one cleaned our room in that time. Really unhappy with the service.

Arrived at 0100 to be given keys for an apartment about a five minute walk away (for some reason, I thought the apartments were in the same block as the reception as there was nothing to indicate otherwise during the looking process or on their website. Got through first door into total darkness. Ground floor was a total building site but got no warning from reception. We couldn't find a light so had to feel our way upstairs, dodging building materials and plant as we progressed. Next door was meant to have a lock code but was open the whole time we stayed. Finally got into the apartment through the next door. Given the time, we were desperate to get to sleep. Pulled the single curtain across the window to discover that it didn't completely cover the window. Tried to sleep but noise from people in street was too loud. Tried closing windows following night but there were windows open at the top that could not be reached (crazy high ceilings in this place). Shower was okay. Didn't use kitchen facilities but seemed sufficiently stocked. Didn't use washing machine but good to see one there. Radiator was not mounted properly. Only a matter of time before it gets knocked over and causes a flood downstairs.

Small, clean and perfect location
A bit tight for a family of four, sofabed for kids could have been better. Air conditioning was an extra charge, and was needed! But even with these minor shortcomings, the location could not be beat!

I would never book this apartment again
We arrived a little early in the day and we were not allowed to check-in, even though they advertise early check-in for an additional fee. They told us that we had to wait as all apartments were being cleaned. We wer okay with this since they were at least cleaning the apartment, so we left our bags with them in a secure room. When we returned to check-in there were guest arguing with one of the front desk clerks and the things that were said made us think twice about this place. When getting to the apartment, it was immediately apparent that the apartment had not been clean as there was water on the bathroom floor, hair on the table and floors, and dirty bed spreads. We were disgusted. On top of this, it was noticeable that the apartment was not well kept by the balcony door that showed significant water damage and walls with holes and chipped paint throughout. We let the front desk know and they told us that they would take care of it. They sent someone up almost 2 hours later and they only vacuumed the floor; did not clean the bathroom, change the sheets, or clean the table. At this point, there was no way we could stay any longer. Because of all of this, there is no way that I would ever recommend this apart-hotel.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort
Nice and quiet apartment studio. They charge extra 9 EURO per night to use the air condition. That's the only thing I was not pleased with. Other hotels zero charge and I only use the air condition to be turned on when I'm in the room and notify the front desk to turn it off when I leave the apartment.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort
Front desk completely inflexible, dreadful experience. Stayed one night and woke up with bites all over where I laid in the bed. If you like horrible service and bed bugs then this is the right choice. I stayed at Senator apartments in Kyiv and had a great experience. Avoid Senator Budapest like the plague.
