Xmas stayPosted Dec 16, 2014
Hotel very good, views amazing, Near to Christmas markets, 24 hour shop opposite. Always taxis at the front. Staff always happy to help, view by night to die for. Near one of the spas. I proposed to my partner in the centre of the ice skating ring which is the largest in Europe!!

Fabulous stayPosted Dec 6, 2014
Cons: Could have a spa bath on the pool area. We like bubbles.
Location: Great location for Xmas markets and very central to most tourist sites and metro lines.
We were delighted with our room overlooking the Chain Bridge and the green. We were even more delighted that the staff at check in picked up on our throw away comment that we had come to Budapest for my other halves birthday. So when we turned up to sparkling wine and two lovely champagne glasses with a very nice note from the hotel - that was the cherry on the top. The bar staff were so helpful too - they really could not do enough for you. Each night we came back to a very clean room and were stunned by the maids ingenious use of folding towels and bedcovers into flowers and swans! Highly recommended. Nice and central and can get across to Buda side easily from here too.

A Lovely Experience!Posted Dec 2, 2014
Location: Close to the chain bridge and walking around the center of the city and along the Danube.
I stayed here over Thanksgiving holiday and the hotel does its tree lighting on the 27th (at least this year) of November and so I woke up after jet lag to a chorus singing in the central area and holidays decorations everywhere. The location is great and the room large and cozy. My friends loved it too. They also have Nespresso coffee in the rooms - awesome! I also enjoyed the workout center/pool/sauna.

Lovely, well appointed hotel, centrally located.Posted Nov 27, 2014
Pros: It's location to the city center, markets, and attractions.
Cons: Stress that the Euro and US dollars are not readily accepted by many merchants and to have the HUF (Hungarian Fortin) on hand.
Location: Holocaust Museum, outdoor markets, local restaurants, Parliament, St. Stephan's Basilica, local shops and Hard Rock Cafe.
Welcoming staff, umbrellas for rainy days, good food.

Lovely hotel, great positionPosted Nov 26, 2014
Pros: Position, facilities, friendly staff
Location: A visit to Buda is a must! The Thermal Baths at Gallaert Spa, The Basillica, the Parliament buildings.. so much to see, so much to do!!
We had a lovely 3 night stay at the Sofitel. Everyone was very helpful and welcoming and more than happy to answer our many questions about Budapest. The position of the hotel is fantastic, being so close to the Chain Bridge and a perfect place from which to explore the city.

November breakPosted Nov 23, 2014
Pros: location and facilities
Cons: the room did not get serviced until late afternoon--we returned to get something to find it as we left it
Location: central. next to the bridge, next to the boat jetty, tram stop and bus stop outside, All attractions either in walking distance or tram ride
Hotel was right next to the bridge--fantastic position. When I asked the check in staff why there was a delay she said she was checking if we could get a free upgrade and we got a room overlooking the river and toward the church on the hill. They booked restaurants for us and the bed was huge and so comfortable....loved every minute....

Ottima posizionePosted Nov 20, 2014
Gianfry e Stefy

Good central hotel, spectacular views.Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: Doormen charming and helpful, large spacious interior, easy and helpful check out.
Cons: The (female) receptionist on our check-in was unfriendly and looked bored! 2 bath robes would have been nice.
Location: So much to see, all within walking distance. Advantage of being next to the Danube, easy access via Chain Bridge to Buda castle area and to all Pest.
Easy to stay in, rooms lack certain character but all essentials included. Good lift service to rooms and excellent daily cleaning.
