Great little Hotel. Staff helpful and friendly. Rooms quiet and comfortable with all the basics. Bathroom clean and functional with everything working. Beds comfortable. Rooms cleaned without me seeing cleaner...always a good sign of efficiency.

After an easy drive from Dubrovnik airport (don't bother with the car ferry, and take the main road and tunnel from Kotor, unlike the single track road that our Sat Nav recommended!) we arrived in Budva, a teeming Summer resort with just about everything you would want. Beaches, old town, shopping, music and the odd Yugoslavia-era building for good measure. The Astoria is a gorgeous little boutique hotel in just about the best spot in town, with two outdoor restaurants, one on the beach and another in the large square outside the town wall. Being inside the walled town you really feel at home strolling around the cobbled lanes and can peak out onto beaches in under a minute from anywhere!

The only reason this didn't get a perfect score is because there was a faint odor from the shower drain when we entered the room. Running the water and closing the bathroom door for a little while solved the problem. Otherwise, this place was great. The staff were incredibly nice and accomodating, and parking was readily available right in front of the hotel. The view from our balcony was the best one could ever hope for; the only thing between us and the swanky playground of the rich and famous - Sveti Stefan - was a beach. In other words, the most impressive aspect of that ritzy establishment - its exterior - was ours for a minute fraction of the cost of staying there. Even better was the knowledge that those staying there paid outrageous sums of monsy and got a view of...OUR hotel. I think we won.

The Romanov is a wonderful hotel in this quiet little bay. My room had a sea view and I was treated to a wonderful sunset.
The room and bathroom were excellent and the TV had dozens of channels.
Breakfast was included and it was superb. I also had a meal there one evening and again, it was excellent.

Spent 1 night here travelling down Montenegros coast. Friendly staff, the young helpful girl in reception spoke English and gave us a map explaining how to walk to all attactions. The room was nice with attractive stone bathroom. It is only 7 min walk to sea front and then you walk through the gift shops, market stalls and bars along to the old town.
The hotel is slightly difficult to find, you may need to spin round at roundabout on main road then head through town West to East ( Head toward Tivat ) Look for Good Food Pekara on right,go past, take next right, then right again. You come to taxi rank and can only go left up past Hotel Loza and Food market on your left, Hotel Perla is then on right with very small Blue neon sign.
