Awesome view of the mountains.Posted Jun 27, 2015
The lady working behind the counter was very accommodating. They had booked us on a handicap room on accident, but it did not bother my wife and I. The views are absolutely stunning in every direction, definitely worth the stay!

Awesome ViewPosted Jun 10, 2015
Older style motel, but updated and very clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The woman taking care of the guests at breakfast was so nice. Because I totally over-pack, my suitcase is almost impossible to lift and there is NO elevator. The poor housekeeper was such a trooper and came to my rescue and carried my suitcase up the stairs for me. Would love to spend more time in Buena Vista.

Well kept. Great view!Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: The view!
Cons: Somewhat outdated but not the worst I've seen by far.
Location: Many outdoor activities to choose from. White water rafting, kayaking, zip lines, hicking, fishing, you name it, I think you can find it.
Even though this is an older facility it was well kept, clean and quite. The view from the west side rooms is spectacluar! The staff was freindly for checkin and checkout and in the breakfast area as well.

Great stay.Posted May 17, 2015
I really hoped the hotel would be nice since we had invited out of town friends and it turned out to be wonderful. Very accommodating staff. The bedroom was so comfortable with fresh linens, great pillows and an immaculate bathroom. The hotel breakfast was better or equal to some of the other hotel chains. The gift shop has great variety. Thanks for the lawn checkers game out on the patio. It was a wonderful stay and we will surely be back.

Kind of over priced at almost $100Posted Apr 6, 2015
thought it was too pricey considering the location of Buena Vista. Got a room just as nice in Durango for half the price at $50.

Trip to LeadvillePosted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The hotel was quiet and the room comfortable.
Cons: Their breakfast needs some improvement.
Location: Buena Vista has a variety of outdoor activities including river rafting. There are several nice restaurants. The mountain scenery is wonderful.
We visited Leadville for Boom Days and stayed in Buena Vista for two nights. Buena Vista is a great place to visit.

Good value.Posted Jul 15, 2014
Needed a room for 2 nights near Mushroom Gulch when my camper decided not to make the trip. Of all of the choices in Buena Vista, Best Western had the best rankings so I stayed there. It was clean, friendly and fit the bill. I didn't use the pool but enjoyed the breakfast each morning before driving to the campgrounds to join my group. Loud kids in the morning was the only downer, but it seems to be a great family hotel :)
