Nice Hotel

Posted Apr 19, 2015
Pros: Rooms were nice. Quiet if not facing the bar across the street.
Cons: Front desk people should know the name of at least ONE place to send people to eat. IDK I am not from around here doesn't cut it.
Location: GOOD location
Checked into the hotel. Asked for a room not facing the main street. Sorry we don't have one- even though the hotel was large and EMPTY. Went to our assigned room and found one bed instead of two. Went back to the desk and was then assigned a room not facing the street with two double beds for an upgrade fee of $20. Asked for places to eat and was told "I don't know I am not from around here". Someone standing near the desk gave me some recommendations. How can the front desk person not know the most basic of information??? How come she lied about no rooms facing the street and then was able to give us one. AND by the way you don't want a room facing the street since there was a bar across the street that was VERY loud with window rattling music until after midnight! A big fat F for this front desk clerk.

First Time to Salida

Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: Clean, very quiet, and very friendly.
Cons: Something was wrong with the computer system, which prompted the manager to call my room at 10:30 pm. That woke me up. Perhaps a different protocol?
Location: Supper at the Boat House was amazing and the staff exceptional. Breakfast at a cafe by the river was equally amazing..staff included.
I loved the town, the people, and the hotel. I was in town for a 2 hour meeting, and made sure to stay for a while longer to eat some food by the river, and take in the beautiful scenery.

Acceptable ski hotel.

Carpet smelled a bit like wet dog. No dvd player to watch family movie at bed time. Air conditioning unit started putting off a burning smell at 3 am. Beds were very firm. Linens were clean. Parking was convenient.

Rooms could have been a little cleaner/better maintained, but overall was a good experience and would stay again.

Nice hotel, close to Monarch Ski Area

Surprisingly nice hotel for a small town. Modern, clean, very comfortable bed. Nice pool/hot-tub. Great complimentary breakfast, that had healthy choices. Hotel staff was quick, courteous, and professional. Highly recommend.
