“silly name, great experience”

Be Hollywood was a great hotel in one of my favorite cities! Their staff was friendly, attentive and prepared for our visit. The lobby, restaurant, rooms and pool area were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. This is a larger hotel with a small boutique look and feel. Highly recommend for you to stay in Palermo if you are traveling in BA especially if you enjoy the nightlife and experience of staying in a residential area.

“The Hollywood Be Hotel”

Since this was an overnight stay on Christmas, it was hard to tell what the location would be like on a normal business day. The best feature for us was the desk clerk who was very obliging.

“Close to restaurants in Palermo”

This is a very modern design hotel. It is walking distance to a lot of nice restaurants in Palermo. The staff was very helpful and friendly. we enjoyed our stay here.

“For the price, not bad.”

The hotel was ok. Trying to be a boutique hotel but on a small scale. the staff was super nice. Rooms we clean but small and a little cold. The hotel is scented so heavily with an offensively fruity/cheap scent, it gave me a headache and I work in the fragrance industry so I typically LOVE fragrance. The neighborhood was nice but would have liked to have been in Palermo SOHO instead of HOLLYWOOD, I didn't realize there was a difference when booking. SOHO is where all of the shopping, cute restaurants and bars are, you have to cross a sketchy train track and couple of blocks to get there and at night it felt a little scary. Breakfast was also very scarce. Cereals, bread and a couple of pastries and yogurts. For the price though overall, it wasn't bad.

“BE Hollywood”

I really liked the hotel, my only faults are that it was so noisy , you could hear everything in the other rooms and all the doors banging even with earplusgs. The bathroom was also so dark.. Everything else was great though so it's a shame - they need sound proofing.

“They promised us a private pool”

There was a screw up with Expedia in that the room was listed as having a private pool. Luckily we could show the hotel staff this when we arrived. Of course we were dissapointed. We could have stayed at our usual favourite hotel which has an amazing room with a jacuzzi inside, and it is cheaper. After much wrangling the staff did upgade us to a better room and as it happened we used the hotel pool (NOT heated) when no one else was there so it was okay. They had comped us a few drinks too but that created more hassle at check out as the hand over wasn't done properly. We were dissapointed but the staff were pretty good in how they dealt with it, so credit to them. The hotel room are nothing really special, I mean, they are very nice and it's a good place to stay, but we were looking for something unique.
